    摘要: A multi-burner gas oven control system is used in a cooking appliance to control multiple gas burners disposed in one or more cooking cavities of the cooking appliance. Each gas burner has an associated dedicated gas valve that is coupled to a gas supply through a common, shared gas valve, as well as an igniter that is used to ignite the gas supplied to the gas burner. During activation of a selected gas burner, all igniters are activated in connection with activating the shared gas valve and the dedicated gas valve for the selected gas burner. In addition, in some instances individual ignition sensors may be used to both confirm ignition of the selected gas burner and detect ignition of any unintended gas burner.

    摘要: An invention is afforded for a convection based cooking apparatus having enhanced heat retention. The convention based cooking apparatus includes a cooking chamber configured to holding food to be processed. An air inlet is situated in fluid communication with the cooking chamber for receiving air into the cooking chamber. In addition, a heating source is included that is configured to switch between an ON state and an OFF state, whereby a temperature of air located within the cooking chamber is regulated. Further, a drafting means is provided that is configured to circulate air present within the cooking chamber. Also included is an inlet control apparatus that regulates air flow into the cooking chamber via the air inlet. The inlet control apparatus allows air to flow into the cooking chamber via the air inlet when the heating source is in the ON state. The inlet control apparatus prevents air from flowing into the cooking chamber via the air inlet when the heating source is in the OFF state.

The top heat is provided by a heating element positioned in the top of the oven cavity. This top heating element is operated in a manner that assists the bottom, gas bake burner with properly browning the food on both its top and bottom. The operation of the both the top heating element and the gas bake burner can be varied to provide proper cooking and browning based upon e.g., the type of food being cooked, the amount of food being cooked, and the level of browning desired.
