    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services.
    Embodiments herein disclose a method for handling collision in a wireless communication network. The method includes detecting the collision between a registration procedure initiated by the UE (100) and a deregistration procedure initiated by the wireless communication network and determining whether the cause value received in the deregistration request message is one of a specific cause value for the deregistration procedure. Further, the method includes performing one of: aborting the deregistration procedure initiated by the wireless communication network and proceeding with the registration procedure initiated by the UE (100) on determining that the cause value is one of the specific cause value for the deregistration procedure; and aborting the registration procedure initiated by the UE (100) and proceeding with the deregistration procedure initiated by the wireless communication network on determining that the cause value is not one of the specific cause value for the deregistration procedure.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides a method for providing user equipment (UE) radio access capabilities in a handover procedure. The method includes identifying, by a source next-generation radio access network (NG-RAN), that a target public land mobile network (PLMN) does not support a UE radio access capabilities identifier (RAC ID) assigned by a source PLMN in an inter-PLMN handover procedure. Further, the method includes providing, by the source NG-RAN, to a target NG-RAN, the UE radio access capabilities instead of the UE RAC ID in response to identifying that the target PLMN does not support the UE RAC ID assigned by the source PLMN.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for controlling permissions of a UE for accessing a network. A method disclosed herein includes initiating, by a User Equipment (UE), a registration procedure with a serving network for accessing a selected network, wherein the selected network includes one of at least one CAG cell of an NPN and a VPLMN. The registration procedure indicates a network selection mode using which the UE has selected the network and the network selection mode includes one of an automatic mode and a manual mode. The method further incudes determining, by the serving network, a reject mode for rejecting the registration request of the UE based on the network selection mode indicated in the registration request, when the permissions of the UE to access the selected network have not been verified, wherein the reject mode includes a protected reject mode and an unprotected reject mode.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Methods and systems for handling network slice admission control for User Equipment (UE) are provided. The disclosure relates to network slicing and more particularly, to a system and method of ensuring that a communication system is able to accurately enforce quota on the maximum number of UEs concurrently registering for a network slice defined by a Single Network Slice Selection Assistance Information (S-NSSAI). The disclosure describes how the limits of “Number of Terminals” configured for an S-NSSAI may be accurately maintained in a Network Slice Admission Control Function (NSACF), and thus the enforcement may be performed when the limit is really exhausted. The disclosure also describes that a deregistration notification from a Unified Data Management (UDM) may act as a trigger for an old Mobility Management Function (AMF) to decrement counts in the NSACF as the old AMF is no longer serving the UE.
