A method of processing video data may include receiving one or more supplemental enhancement information (SEI) messages that contain information specifying how to determine parameters for performing an inverse dynamic range adjustment process, receiving decoded video data, and performing the inverse dynamic range adjustment process on the decoded video data using fixed-point computing in accordance with the information in the one or more SEI messages.

Abstract: A video decoder for decoding multi-layer video data can be configured to maintain a decoded picture buffer (DPB) for storing reference pictures for a plurality of layers, wherein the plurality of layers comprise at least a first layer and a second layer; prior to decoding a current picture of an access unit of the first layer, perform a picture output and removal process on the DPB, wherein to perform the picture output and removal process on the DPB, the one or more processors are further configured to remove from the DPB only decoded pictures that belong to the first layer; and after removing a last decoding unit of the current picture from a coded picture buffer (CPB), perform a picture bumping process across all layers of the DPB.

Abstract: A method of decoding video data includes generating a prediction block for a current block of the video data and decoding a residual block for the current block of the video data. The method includes combining the prediction block and the residual block to generate a reconstructed block of the video data and determining a variable M×N sample pattern based on a block size of the current block. The method includes estimating a local luma level for samples of the reconstructed block using the variable M×N sample pattern and applying, based on the estimated local luma level, a deblocking filter to the samples of the reconstructed block to generate filtered samples. The method includes generating final samples of the video data based on the filtered samples.

The first decoded modified chroma residual data is associated with a first chroma component and the second decoded modified chroma residual data is associated with a second chroma component. Abstract: In general, this disclosure describes techniques for communicating preferred color gamut settings from a sink device to a source device. The source device may send, through a video interface, first video data to the sink device, which receives the first video data through the video interface. The sink device may then send, through a feedback channel of the video interface, preferred color gamut settings of the sink device to the source device. The preferred color gamut settings may be for content received from the source device. The source device may adapt second video data using the preferred color gamut settings. The source device may then send, through the video interface, the second video data adapted to the preferred color gamut settings to the sink device.

Abstract: In general, techniques are described for processing high dynamic range (HDR) and wide color gamut (WCG) video data for video coding. A device comprising a memory and a processor may perform the techniques. The memory may store compacted fractional chromaticity coordinate (FCC) formatted video data. The processor may inverse compact the compacted FCC formatted video data using one or more inverse adaptive transfer functions (TFs) to obtain decompacted FCC formatted video data. The processor may next inverse adjust a chromaticity component of the decompacted FCC formatted video data based on a corresponding luminance component of the decompacted FCC formatted video data to obtain inverse adjusted FCC formatted video data. The processor may convert the chromaticity component of the inverse adjusted FCC formatted video data from the FCC format to a color representation format to obtain High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Wide Color Gamut (WCG) video data.
