Abstract: According to the present invention, an image decoding method performed by a decoding device comprises the steps of: generating a first prediction block and a second prediction block of a current block; selecting a prediction block, to which a Wiener filter is to be applied, among the first prediction block and the second prediction block; deriving Wiener filter coefficients of the selected prediction block based on the first prediction block and the second prediction block; filtering the selected prediction block based on the derived Wiener filter coefficients; and generating a reconstructed block of the current block based on the filtered prediction block. According to the present invention, the overall coding efficiency can be improved by minimizing the difference between prediction blocks.

Abstract: A video encoding method includes deriving entry point information specifying an entry point of a substream for a picture. The entry point information includes an offset syntax element when the number of the offset syntax elements is larger than 0, where the offset syntax element represents an entry point offset between two entry points. The entry point information includes a length syntax element when the number of the offset syntax elements is larger than 0, where the length syntax element represents a bits length for the offset syntax element. The offset syntax element represents the number of bytes between the two entry points. A value of the length syntax element plus one corresponds to the bits length of the offset syntax element. A value of the number syntax element corresponds to the number of offset syntax elements in the slice header.

Abstract: A video decoding method performed by a decoding apparatus comprises: deriving control points (CPs) for the current block; obtaining motion vectors for the CPs; deriving a motion vector of a sub-block or a sample unit in the current block on the basis of the obtained motion vectors; deriving a prediction sample for the current block on the basis of the derived motion vector; and generating a reconstruction sample on the basis of the prediction sample. The method enables effective performance of inter prediction through the motion vectors (transformation prediction), not only when an image in the current block is moved in a plane, but also when the image in the current block is rotated, zoomed in, zoomed out, or transformed into a parallelogram. Accordingly, the amount of data for the residual signal for the current block can be eliminated or reduced, and the overall coding efficiency can be improved.

Abstract: An inter prediction method according to the present invention, which is performed by a decoding apparatus, comprises the steps of: acquiring prediction-related information and residual information from a received bitstream; performing inter prediction on a current block on the basis of the prediction-related information so as to generate prediction samples; generating a list of Wiener filter candidates on the basis of spatially neighboring blocks of the current block, and deriving Wiener filter coefficients for the current block on the basis of candidate blocks in the list of the Wiener filter candidates; filtering the prediction samples on the basis of the derived Wiener filter coefficients; deriving residual samples for the current block on the basis of the residual information; and generating a reconstructed picture on the basis of the filtered prediction samples and the residual samples. The present invention can reduce the amount of data for a residual signal and improve coding efficiency.

According to the present invention, the overall coding efficiency can be improved by deriving the filter information on the basis of the neighboring block of the already decoded current block and reducing or removing the amount of data for the transmission of the information necessary for filter generation.
