    摘要: A method and apparatus for conversion of signals from a first type of image sensor to a second type of camera control unit is presented. A first interface is provided for enabling electrical communication between the conversion module and an image sensor, the image sensor being interchangeable between a Complimentary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) and a Charge Coupled Device (CCD) image sensor. A second interface is provided for enabling electrical communication between the conversion module and a camera control unit (CCU). Also provided is conversion circuitry in communication with the first interface and the second interface, the conversion circuitry receiving signals of a first type from the first interface, converting the signals of a first type to signals of a second type and providing the signals of a second type to the second interface.

    摘要: A device exchange transports messages between autonomous devices in a medical environment. The autonomous devices perform various tasks in the medical environment, such as surgical device control, drug infusion, video recordation, and user interfaces, for example. Each autonomous device has a device specification, published and stored by the device exchange and available to other autonomous devices. The device specification indicates, for each autonomous device, an identifier, a set of outputs and a set of inputs, or commands. Devices interoperate by messages including the device identifier and an output or command without translation or transformation mechanisms such as scripts, protocol translations, drivers or interface modules because each message is based on the published device specification available to all the devices connected to the exchange. Interconnected medical devices therefore interoperate without the need for reconfiguration because each device has internal logic for understanding the messages it sends and receives via the exchange.

    摘要: According to one configuration, a memory system includes a configuration manager and multiple memory devices. The configuration manager includes status detection logic, retrieval logic, and configuration management logic. The status detection logic receives notification of a failed attempt by a first memory device to be initialized with custom configuration settings stored in the first memory device. In response to the notification, the retrieval logic retrieves a backup copy of configuration settings information from a second memory device in the memory system. The configuration management logic utilizes the backup copy of the configuration settings information retrieved from the second memory device to initialize the first memory device.
