Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, control information that indicates at least two transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states. A first TCI state of the at least two TCI states is associated with a half duplex mode of the UE, and a second TCI state of the at least two TCI states is associated with a full duplex mode of the UE. The UE may further receive, from the base station, a downlink transmission according to at least one of the first TCI state or the second TCI state. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to techniques for puncturing of structured low density parity check (LDPC) codes. A method for wireless communications by wireless node is provided. The method generally includes encoding a set of information bits based on a LDPC code to produce a code word, the LDPC code defined by a matrix having a first number of variable nodes and a second number of check nodes, puncturing the code word to produce a punctured code word, wherein the puncturing is performed according to a first puncturing pattern designed to puncture bits corresponding to one or more of the variable nodes having a certain degree of connectivity to the check nodes, and transmitting the punctured code word.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described to estimate interference for concurrent uplink and downlink communications based on an indication of one or more one or more characteristics of an interfering uplink signal communicated between a base station and a second user equipment (UE). The base station or the second UE may transmit, to a first UE, an indication of one or more characteristics of an uplink signal, such as a baseband of the uplink signal or one or more parameters of the uplink signal. The first UE may use the characteristic(s) of the uplink signal to estimate the baseband of the uplink signal and cancel interference associated with the uplink signal. For example, the first UE may use the baseband signal to estimate the interference and may subtract the estimated interference from a downlink signal received at the first UE.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support mechanisms signaling non-linearities to a victim user equipment (UE) for interference cancellation in a wireless communication system. A victim UE may experience interference from an uplink transmission by an aggressor UE to a base station. The victim UE may obtain a power amplifier model associated with the aggressor UE. The power amplifier may include a non-linearity model of a power amplifier of the aggressor UE causing the interference on the victim UE. The power amplifier model obtained by the victim UE may be dependent on various parameters, such as a transmit power used by the aggressor UE to transmit the uplink transmission causing the interference. Based on the aggressor UE transmit power, the victim UE may select parameters for power amplifier model and may estimate the interference caused by the uplink transmission for interference cancellation.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to downlink (DL) transmissions using various powers and assigning frequency resources based on the powers. An example base station may transmit, to a first user equipment (UE), an indication of a first transmit (Tx) power for a first DL transmission on a first downlink (DL) resource on a carrier, the first DL resource being at a first frequency. The first DL resource may be at a first frequency. The first Tx power may have a power level configured based on a difference between the first frequency for the first DL resource and an uplink (UL) frequency region of the carrier. Then, the base station may transmit the first DL transmission using the first frequency and the first Tx power. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a base station may identify a null space matrix that lies within a null space of an effective channel matrix for communications between the base station and a user equipment (UE). An indication of the null space matrix may be provided to the UE, and the null space matrix used to determine modifications to a precoding matrix. The base station and UE may determine a redistribution matrix that provides a reduced variance of transmission powers for a number of transmission channels, where a product of the null space matrix and the redistribution matrix may be computed and added to the precoding matrix to generate a modified precoding matrix. The modified precoding matrix may be used to generate the communications from the base station and UE with reduced power variance across channels.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may support various extended reality (XR) applications. In some examples of XR applications, features from the real and virtual environments may be overlaid and displayed to a user for consumption via the UE. To avoid visual conflicts, such as misaligning objects from the real and virtual environments, and other visual conflicts, the UE may generate and send pose information to a network (e.g., a server hosting the XR application). The UE may be configured to manage transmission of pose information to the network, which may result in reduced power consumption. For example, the UE may determine a downlink burst occasion for the XR application, generate pose information associated with the UE and the XR application, and transmit the pose information only during the downlink burst occasion.

In some examples, a base station may send signaling to multiple user equipments (UEs) indicating for the UEs to switch to a radio frequency bandwidth. The UEs may operate according to a reduced set of communication operations in accordance with the radio frequency bandwidth. For example, the UEs may refrain from monitoring one or more channels, may not transmit on one or more channels, or the like. The UEs may switch out of the radio frequency bandwidth based on a trigger event, such as a timer expiring, receiving an indication in a downlink control information (DCI) message, or the like.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for a transmitter (e.g., a user equipment (UE) or base station) and receiver (e.g., a UE or base station) to transmit and receive data packets that are encoded according to an outer coding technique. The outer coding technique may provide for data bits and parity bits to be included in a single physical layer transmission. In some cases, data packets (e.g., data bits) may be segmented into multiple subpackets, and coding may be performed across different subpackets of different data packets (e.g., in a diagonal coding pattern). In some examples, each transmission in the physical layer may contain both data subpackets and parity subpackets, which may balance an input and an output load of a buffer (e.g., a layer two (L2) decoding buffer at the receiver) during decoding.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for configuration of one or more parameter tables that provide mapping between channel measurements and a channel quality indicator (CQI), one or more tables that provide mapping between a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) index and a modulation order and coding rate, or any combinations thereof. A base station may provide configuration information to a user equipment (UE) that indicates a table size for one or more CQI or MCS tables, and a number of bits that are to be transmitted in control information to indicate an index value for the CQI and/or MCS tables. Alternatively, an existing CQI or MCS table may have entries that are modified based on a modulation order that is supported by the UE, and the base station may provide configuration information that indicates the modified entries.
