Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some networks, a user equipment (UE) may perform radio link monitoring according to one or more radio link monitoring configurations. The UE may select a radio link monitoring configuration from a first radio link monitoring configuration associated with radio link monitoring over a duration that a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process is enabled and a second radio link monitoring configuration associated with radio link monitoring over a duration that the HARQ process is disabled. The UE may monitor reference signals using the selected radio link monitoring configuration, and may determine a radio link failure, a beam failure, or both has occurred based on monitoring the one or more reference signals using the selected radio link monitoring configuration. The UE may subsequently transmit a measurement report based on determining the radio link failure, the beam failure, or both.

A user equipment (UE) may be configured to receive control signaling indicating a satellite visit time associated with one or more satellites. The UE may be configured to operate in an idle state, an inactive state, or a power-saving state for a time interval which is based on the satellite visit time. The UE may then be configured to monitor for one or more broadcast signals associated with the one or more satellites, one or more network entities, or both, following an end of the time interval which is based on the satellite visit time.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) and a satellite of a non-terrestrial network (NTN) may establish communications on a beam of the satellite. The UE may receive, on a first carrier of a first set of carriers associated with a first beam, a configuration for the first set of carriers associated with the first beam and a second set of carriers associated with a second beam. The first carrier may be used to send a first set of synchronization signals, and a second carrier of the second set of carriers may be used to send a second set of synchronization signals. The UE may identify some system information associated with the second set of carriers based on the configuration and reselect to the second beam based on the configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station in a wireless communications system. The UE may perform a random access procedure to communicate with the base station. The base station may configure the UE with different sets of preamble parameters for different types of UEs. The UE may generate a random access preamble based on the sets of preamble parameters according to the type of the UE. The base station may indicate a location of the base station to the UE. The UE may identify a location of the UE. The UE may determine a pre-compensation timing based on a distance from the two locations. The UE and the base station may transmit subsequent communication according to the random access preamble, the pre-compensation timing, or any combination thereof.

A user equipment (UE) may determine a position (e.g., a global navigation satellite system (GNSS)) position of the UE based on a relative position of the UE to another UE. For example, a first UE may determine (e.g., calculate, receive) a relative position of the first UE to a second UE that is selected from a set of UEs including the first UE and the second UE to perform a position acquisition procedure to determine a position of the second UE. The first UE may determine (e.g., calculate, receive) its position based on the relative position of the first UE to the second UE and the position of the second UE and may reset a timer that indicates for the first UE to perform a position acquisition procedure upon expiration of the timer.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. Aspects described herein provide techniques and apparatuses associated with synchronizing a preconfigured uplink resource (PUR) release counter between a base station and a user equipment (UE). For example, the synchronization may be performed in connection with the UE entering a connected mode, the base station reconfiguring a PUR, and/or the like. By synchronizing the PUR release counter, misalignment of the PUR release counter between the UE and the base station may be reduced or eliminated. Reducing the misalignment of the PUR release counter reduces the occurrence of a premature release of a PUR, thus reducing UE interference and improving the likelihood of success of the UE's transmission.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In one example, an aerial user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a priority for cell selection for aerial UEs from each cell in a set of cells and may select a cell from the set of cells based on the priority of each cell in the set of cells. In another example, an aerial UE may connect to a network available to aerial UEs and non-aerial UEs for auxiliary communications, when appropriate. In yet another example, when an aerial UE transitions to a new mission status, the aerial UE may transmit a tracking area update (TAU) if the aerial UE is connected to a cell in a tracking area that does not support the new mission status. In yet another example, a base station may page an aerial UE based on a mission status of the aerial UE.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a notification of a change to multicast broadcast (MB) control information associated with at least one MB service to which the UE is subscribed, the MB control information being included in an MB control channel (MBCCH) scheduled by a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) communication addressed to an MB radio network temporary identifier (MB-RNTI); and monitor one or more resources of the MBCCH to receive updated MB control information based at least in part on receiving the notification of the change to the MB control information. Abstract: A method for wireless communication is presented. The method includes receiving pre-configured uplink resource (PUR) configuration information including one or more least significant bits (LSBs) of a hyper system frame number (H-SFN). The method also includes determining a PUR start time based on the H-SFN identified by the one or more LSBs. The method further includes transmitting data to a base station on a PUR identified in the PUR configuration information at the PUR start time.
