Abstract: Example aspects include a method, apparatus and computer-readable medium of wireless communication at a base station of a mobile network, comprising transmitting system information corresponding to an aerial cell of the mobile network or a cell having at least one aerial sector being formed by one or more uptilt beams of the base station. The aspects further include performing, according to the system information, a random access channel (RACH) procedure with an aerial user equipment (UE). Additionally, the aspects include establishing, via the aerial cell or the at least one aerial sector, a communications link with the aerial UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support non-terrestrial network (NTN) signaling between both terrestrial and non-terrestrial devices. A user equipment (UE) supporting such NTN signaling may receive a downlink message indicating a first configuration for a first transmission reception point corresponding to a first cell of the NTN, and a second configuration for a second transmission reception point corresponding to a second cell of the NTN. The UE may then perform one or more synchronization measurements to synchronize uplink communications with the first transmission reception point and the second transmission reception point and in order to perform multi-transmission reception point communications in the NTN. The UE may then transmit one or more uplink messages to the first transmission reception point, to the second transmission reception point, or both, in accordance with the one or more synchronization measurements.

An aerial UE may receive control signaling that indicates a plurality of beam measurement configurations that the aerial UE is to use for beam measurement and reporting associated with a plurality of beams. The aerial UE may monitor a set of beams of the plurality of beams in accordance with a subset of beam measurement configurations of the plurality of beam measurement configurations based on a current time, a current location of the aerial UE, or both, for example. The aerial UE may transmit a measurement report indicating one or more measurements of a subset of beams of the set of beams in accordance with the subset of beam measurement configurations. In some examples, the subset of beam measurement configurations may be associated with an altitude threshold, a three-dimensional zone, or a combination thereof.

A user equipment (UE) may be configured to satisfy an uplink transmission power criterion, such as a specific absorption rate (SAR). The UE may be scheduled to transmit a first uplink message via a first frequency band and a second uplink message via a second frequency band. The UE perform power scaling on the first frequency band and the second frequency band to satisfy the uplink transmission power criterion. For example, the UE may select a first transmission power level for transmitting the first uplink message and a second transmission power level for transmitting the second uplink message based on a function of UE transmission power level over a preceding time interval. The UE may perform uplink power aggregation techniques to temporarily boost transmit power while satisfying the uplink transmission power criterion.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station in a wireless communications system. The UE may perform a random access procedure to communicate with the base station. The base station may configure the UE with different sets of preamble parameters for different types of UEs. The UE may generate a random access preamble based on the sets of preamble parameters according to the type of the UE. The base station may indicate a location of the base station to the UE. The UE may identify a location of the UE. The UE may determine a pre-compensation timing based on a distance from the two locations. The UE and the base station may transmit subsequent communication according to the random access preamble, the pre-compensation timing, or any combination thereof.

Generally, the described techniques provide for maximizing the potential of resources dedicated to aerial user equipment (UEs). In one example, a UE may receive signaling indicating that a cell supports communications exclusively with aerial UEs. The signaling may be used to bar non-aerial UEs from accessing the cell and reserve resources for communications with aerial UEs. In another example, a UE may receive signaling identifying one or more frequency bands dedicated to aerial UEs. The UE may then communicate on the one or more frequency bands. In yet another example, a UE may receive signaling indicating a set of aerial access categories supported by a cell. The signaling may be used to reserve resources for high-priority aerial UEs (e.g., aerial UEs used for law enforcement purposes).

Abstract: A wireless communication device can flexibly change subcarrier spacing (SCS) and/or cyclic prefix (CP) in wireless communication. The wireless communication device can transmit, in a first sidelink resource of a sidelink resource pool, a first sidelink transmission using a first configuration of subcarrier spacing (SCS) and cyclic prefix (CP). The wireless communication device can further transmit, in a second sidelink resource of the sidelink resource pool, a second sidelink transmission using a second configuration of SCS and CP, the second configuration being different from the first configuration in terms of at least one of an SCS or a CP. The techniques allow more efficient switching between SCS and CP configurations within a resource pool in the same bandwidth part.

Abstract: A radio access network (RAN) node may transmit, to an access and mobility function (AMF) of a core network, a request associated with a location-based state of a user equipment (UE) served by the RAN node. The location-based state of the UE may be associated with whether the UE is flying or whether the UE is driving, or other location information of the UE. Accordingly, the RAN node may receive a message in response to the request. The RAN node may receive the message in response to the request from the AMF. Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a mobile station may receive an indication of a first set of resources for feedback and an indication of a second set of resources for feedback, where the second set of resources are associated with a smaller quantity of cyclic shifts than the first set of resources. Accordingly, the mobile station may transmit feedback on either the first set of resources or the second set of resources based at least in part on a distance associated with the feedback. As an alternative, the mobile station may compute a timing advance associated with transmission of feedback. Accordingly, the mobile station may feedback that is shifted in time according to the timing advance. Numerous other aspects are described.
