Abstract: An image processing device according to one aspect of the present disclosure for which detection parameters can easily be set comprises: a model storage unit that stores a model pattern; a characteristic point extraction unit that extracts characteristic points from a photographed image; an original matching degree calculation unit that calculates the degree of matching between the model pattern and arrangement of the characteristic points; an object detection unit that detects an object in the photographed image by comparing the degree of matching with a detection threshold value; a parameter setting unit that sets detection parameters including at least the detection threshold value; a detection information storage unit that stores, for characteristic points of the object detected by the target object detection unit, detection information including at least the positions of the characteristic points; and a simple matching degree calculation unit that calculates, if the detection parameters are changed, the degree of matching based on the changed detection parameters and the detection information stored in the detection information storage unit.

Abstract: One variation of the method for distributing censored videos of manufacturing procedures performed within a facility includes: accessing a video feed captured by a local device interfacing with a local operator during performance of a procedure within the facility; interpreting a set of objects depicted in the video feed based on features extracted from the video feed; accessing a minimum censorship specification for the procedure, the minimum censorship specification defining a set of object types corresponding to a first degree of censorship; identifying a subset of objects, in the set of objects, depicted in the video feed related to the procedure based on the set of object types defined in the minimum censorship specification; fogging the subset of objects in the video feed to generate a censored video feed; and serving the censored video feed to a remote viewer portal accessed by a remote viewer.

Abstract: A system is provided for identifying and quantizing a change in a scene having objects based on comparison of features representing a target object derived from a first image and a second image that includes the target object. The system segments, based on a scene model of the scene, a second image that includes the target object to identify a second area representing the target object within the second image. The system extracts, from the second image, second features for the target object based on the second area. The system determines determine a second effectiveness of the second features indicating effectiveness of the second features in representing the target object. The system detects a change based on a difference between first features and the second features factoring in a first effectiveness and the second effectiveness.

Abstract: Approaches presented herein can provide for the automatic generation of a digital representation of an environment that may include multiple objects of various object types. An initial representation (e.g., a point cloud) of the environment can be generated from registered image or scan data, for example, and objects in the environment can be segmented and identified based at least on that initial representation. For objects that are recognized based on these segmentations, stored accurate representations can be substituted for those objects in the representation of the environment, and if no such model is available then a mesh or other representation of that object can be generated and positioned in the environment. A result can then include a 3D representation of a scene or environment in which objects are identified and segmented as individual objects, and representations of the scene or environment can be viewed, and interacted with, through various viewports, positions, and perspectives.

Abstract: A method of forming a three-dimensional image includes, first, capturing a first image of a field of view and then, subsequently, capturing range information.
