摘要: In an inventive cup luminous apparatus and its control method, the cup luminous apparatus is capable of luminescing in various colors corresponding to the fluid level of beverage put in a cup thus providing the cup with a light effect, detecting a proper consistency, a decay extent and an appropriate temperature of the beverage put into the cup, and then luminescing in mutually different colors based on its detection result, whereby a user may visually recognize a physical state of the beverage. The inventive cup also automatically flickers in case that the cup is slanted and is provided so as to be mounted more easily. The cup luminous apparatus includes a plurality of resistance detection elements installed on an inner wall face of the cup, for detecting resistance values changed by the water level, the consistency and the temperature change of beverage put into the cup; an analog/digital converter for converting analog signals detected by the resistance detection elements; light emitting elements for outputting light of mutually different colors from the inside of the cup towards the outside of the cup; and a controller for outputting a voice signal in response to an on/off state of the resistance detection elements, simultaneously outputting a toggle signal to the light emitting elements, and outputting a lighting signal to the light emitting elements in case a resistance value inputted from the analog/digital converter equals the proper consistency data and proper temperature data, and outputting a flicker signal to the light emitting element s in case the resistance value equals the decay consistency data and overheating temperature data; and a voice output element equipped in the cup and driven by the voice signal outputted through the controller.

摘要: In the manufacture of a structural member comprising a thermoplastic composite core with an exterior reinforcing layer, the core member is initially extruded in the shape of a profile. The profile is then contacted with reinforcing fiber and resin to form the exterior reinforcing layer. The exterior thermosetting layer is cured to form a reinforcing layer. The structural member is preferably manufactured using a pultrusion method in which a tractor device is used to provide linear movement of the profile from the extrusion head to the exterior coating operation. The fiber-reinforced thermoset is coated on the entirety of the exterior of the profile or is applied only on a portion of the profile requiring reinforcement in a defined load-bearing direction. The preferred thermoplastic core comprises a polymer-fiber composite material. Such a structural member has significantly improved Young's modulus providing strength for applications such as telephone poles, electric poles, electric lighting poles, boat mast or keel applications, lumber replacements, structural members used in window and door manufacture, etc.

摘要: The invention relates to a minute structure for showing an interference color having a certain wavelength within a visible light region, by reflection and interference of a natural light incident on the minute structure. The minute structure has: a laminated portion including a plurality of first layers having a first refractive index and a plurality of second layers having a second refractive index different from the first refractive index; and a stray-light absorbing member. The first and second layers are alternately placed on top of each other. The stray light has wavelengths other than the certain wavelength and is formed by transmittance of the natural light through the laminated portion, reflectance of the natural light by the laminated portion and/or scattering of the natural light by the laminated portion. The invention further relates to a fabric for showing the interference color. The fabric includes: a first thread which is one of a warp and a weft; and a second thread which is the other of the warp and the weft. The first and second threads are woven to form the fabric. The first thread is made of a material containing the laminated portion. The second thread is made of a material containing the stray-light absorbing member. By the provision of the stray-light absorbing member, the interference color becomes brighter and deeper and higher in value.

摘要: A channel clip which is configured to hold glass or plastic decorative panels in front of single or dual pane windows without affecting the existing window glass and while permitting a spaced and secure relationship between the decorative panel and the inner-most window pane in the proximity of which the decorative panel is installed. In a preferred embodiment herein, the channel clip of the present invention is a transparent, injection-molded polycarbonate device having three integrated structural members including a base member and a pair of panel retaining members. The retaining members are positioned preferably in perpendicular relationship to the base member and in spaced apart parallel relation to one another. A gap formed therebetween is adapted to receive the designer panel. The base member preferably is provided with a countersunk or tapered aperture which is designed to accommodate a wood screw to secure the channel clip into the underlying surface adjacent the window pane.
