    摘要: A gas cylinder valve 2 is able to be opened by application of a pilot gas pressure. In certain embodiments the gas cylinder valve 2 is usable with a yoke 8 for engaging with a valve assembly of a gas cylinder 1, the yoke comprising a pilot gas passage 28 able to connect a pilot gas chamber 37 in the cylinder valve assembly to a source of pressurized pilot gas and the cylinder gas port of the gas cylinder valve to an external cylinder gas passage. The valve and yoke enable the tamper-resistance of a gas cylinder to be improved.

    摘要: An adjustment safeguard for a set screw that is rotatably held in a housing has a cap that is non-rotatably secured on the head of the set screw. The cap is received in a sleeve of the housing and surrounded with minimal radial play by the sleeve that is essentially coaxially positioned relative to the cap. The cap is received with its axial length in the sleeve. The cap has a projection and the sleeve has a stop arranged in the interior of the sleeve. Projection and stop interact with each other in a rotational direction of the set screw. The cap has a top part and a separate bottom part. The bottom part is secured axially and non-rotatably on the head of the set screw. The bottom part engages with form fit the top part in the rotational direction and is axially connected to the top part.

A substantially cylindrical rough-in sleeve member having an off-set opening for slidably receiving and securing it about at least a portion of the water stop valve device to define a single water stop valving unit to be installed during a rough-in stage of new and remodeling building construction. The off-set opening is dimensioned and positioned such that the water stop valving unit is always within an outer circumference of the rough-in sleeve.

    摘要: A novel, one-way nut fastener including a nut body with a side wall that is internally threaded and lobes that extend from the side wall of the nut body. Each lobe has a flat portion that extends substantially radially away from the side wall and a curved portion that extends from the flat portion to the flat portion of an adjacent lobe. A special tool uses the leverage that is gained from the flat portions of the lobes to tighten the cap threads onto the threads of a stem portion. Since the leverage gained from the lobes, which is used to tighten the nut fastener, cannot be used to loosen the fastener, it is much more difficult to remove the nut fastener.

    摘要: Several high pressure gas cylinders are attached together in a pack, each container having a valve at one end that controls flow of gas from the cylinder and each valve having a removable valve control handle, the cylinders being arranged coextensive and contiguous in the pack with all cylinder valves at the same end of the pack, a gas manifold at that end of the pack having a gas input for each cylinder and a gas output for feeding gas to a utilization device, a gas line from each cylinder valve to one of the manifold inputs and a manifold valve at the manifold output, so arranged that the manifold valve controls gas flow from the pack of cylinders to the utilization device and the cylinder valves control gas flow from each cylinders to the utilization device. In a preferred embodiment, a protective valve cap is provided for each cylinder valve secured to the cylinder and the valve control handle therefor is removable from and attachable to the valve without removing the cap, whereby all cylinder valve control handles in the pack can be removed and the valves are at all times protected by the caps, even while the pack provides gas to the utilization device, and so damage to the valves and/or tampering with the valves is prevented.

    摘要: The invention is an apparatus and method for draining a viscous material, such as a molten polymer, from a vessel that contains the material. A ram-type valve is mounted on the outside of the vessel in line with a drain opening in the vessel. The valve is enclosed in a removable housing mounted on the outside of the vessel. During a process run, the valve piston closes off the drain opening, and an inert atmosphere inside the housing prevents oxygen from forming polymer "gels" that can plug the drain opening. When it becomes necessary to drain the vessel, a remote control valve actuator moves the valve piston out of the drain opening, so the polymer can flow out of the vessel.
