摘要： An adjustment limiting device for a carburetor including a fuel adjustment valve rotatable to adjust a supply of fuel in or delivered from the carburetor includes an adjustment limiting cap and a connector. The adjustment limiting cap is adapted to be disposed over a portion of the fuel adjustment valve and includes a rotary connection feature adapted to limit relative rotational movement between the adjustment limiting cap and the fuel adjustment valve, and a rotation limiter to limit rotational movement of the adjustment limiting cap. The connector may be carried by the adjustment limiting cap to maintain the adjustment limiting cap on the fuel adjustment valve. The connector may be concealed by the carburetor body, permit the adjustment limiting cap to be fitted onto the fuel adjustment valve, and prevent the adjustment limiting cap from being removed from the fuel adjustment limiting valve.

The cap is received in a sleeve of the housing and surrounded with minimal radial play by the sleeve that is essentially coaxially positioned relative to the cap. The cap is received with its axial length in the sleeve. The cap has a projection and the sleeve has a stop arranged in the interior of the sleeve. Projection and stop interact with each other in a rotational direction of the set screw. The cap has a top part and a separate bottom part. The bottom part is secured axially and non-rotatably on the head of the set screw. The bottom part engages with form fit the top part in the rotational direction and is axially connected to the top part.

摘要： Underground water valves having square operating nuts, such as but not limited to critical water valves which control different pressure zones or different demand areas, are secured by a shielding cap, each of which have a recess that receives a valve operating nut and a cylindrical projection which frustrates attempts to rotate the operating nut. When an authorized person decides to open or close one of the valves, the shielding cap is retrieved from the operating nut by a retrieving head which has the socket defined by a frustoconical recess. Within the recess are a pair of opposed pins which seat in J-shaped slots in the frustoconical projection. Upon rotating the retrieving head, the pins move into alignment with open ends of the J-shaped slots, down shank portions of the slots and abut closed ends of the slots so that the shielding cap may be pulled from the valve operating nut and withdrawn through the valve operating box. The operating nut is then exposed for rotation by a wrench having an elongated rod with a T-shaped handle and a socket which complements the valve operating nut in size and shape. After the operating nut has been rotated to open or close the valve, as desired, the shielding cap is returned to a nesting relationship with the operating nut.

A stem valve portion and a stem handle portion are mounted in the bonnet. The stem valve protion is connected to the valve. The stem handle portion is connected to a handle. The handle may be raised or lowered with respect to the bonnet to selectively engage or disengage the stem handle portion from the stem valve portion. A hasp pin may be passed through the hole in the bonnet and locked in such position for preventing the handle from being lowered.

摘要： A security device for a utility shutoff valve and a tool for inserting and removing the security device. The security device and tool are utilized for water and gas shutoff valves located underground that are accessed through a vertical access pipe. The invention is a cylindrical plug which is placed inside the access pipe, resting on top of the valve. The plug includes a grip resistant dummy valve handle which, when turned, causes the plug to rotate without having any effect on the valve. The plug is also very difficult to remove without the insertion/removal tool, comprising an inverted cup with a long handle, wherein the inside of the cup is lined with horizontal steel bristles. When the cup is placed over the top of the plug, the bristles enter corresponding holes in the dummy valve handle, allowing the plug to be lifted.

There is a valve seat in the body and a valve member movable toward and away from the valve seat to control flow from the inlet to the outlet. There is an opening in the body providing exterior access to the valve member for adjustment thereof. A vandalproof cap assembly closes the opening. The cap assembly includes a sleeve threadedly attached to the body about the access opening. A cap is mounted on the sleeve for free rotation relative thereto. The sleeve and cap have tool receiving openings therein which, when in alignment, and with a tool inserted therein, will provide for concurrent movement of the sleeve and cap for removal thereof from the body access opening.

摘要： An operator for remotely opening and closing the valve on a gas cylinder includes a metal frame having an enclosed upper portion, a support plate extending across the upper portion and a mounting wall extending downwardly from a side of the upper portion. On the mounting wall is a C-shaped clamp which is adapted to extend around and be secured to a non-cylindrical portion of the cylinder valve to secure the frame to the cylinder. On the mounting wall below the clamp is an additional clamping means which extends around a cylindrical portion of the cylinder to further secure the frame to the cylinder. A pneumatic activator is mounted on the support plate and has a shaft extending through an opening in the support plate in alignment with the valve stem of the cylinder valve. A coupling member is on the shaft and connects the shaft to the valve stem. A pneumatic circuit is connected to the actuator and includes means for remotely operating the actuator to rotate the actuator shaft so as to open and close the cylinder valve. A reserve cylinder of gas is connected to the pneumatic circuit to provide a flow of gas which automatically operates the activator to close the cylinder valve in the event of disruption of the main source of operating gas to the pneumatic circuit.
