    摘要: A flow control valve has a housing having a fluid inlet at one fitting end and fluid outlet at another fitting end, and a control body supported within the housing by support structure bridging between the control body and the housing such that for flow of fluid through the valve from the inlet to the outlet is along fluid paths symmetric with respect to an axis of the control body, the control body and support structure being streamlined so as not to interfere substantially with flow. At least one valve member is carried by the control body in an orientation for being shifted by driven movement along the axis relatively toward and away from the fitting end for control of fluid passing through the fitting end in response to an actuator within the control body. At least one port extends through the support structure for communicating with the actuator and providing for control of the actuator.

    摘要: A force feedback popper valve has a valve element for controlling fluid flow from an inlet port to an outlet port. A meter-in orifice communicates pressurized fluid from the inlet port to a control chamber above the valve element. A pilot valve provides a meter-out orifice between the control chamber and the outlet port to selectively reduce the pressure level in the control chamber in response to a control force applied to the pilot valve. A feedback spring is disposed in the control chamber between the valve element and the pilot valve so that displacement of the valve element is proportional to the control force exerted against the pilot valve.

    摘要: A metering valve (10) having a bi-directional motor (11) with a linearly-displaceable output shaft (21) in which the shaft (21) is separated from but cooperates with a bi-directionally movable piston (16) to provide a variable flow aperture (102) in a secondary flow path (12,52,74,78,76,102,100,48) extending axially through the piston (16). Flow along a primary flow path (12,18,48,14) is varied by movement of the piston (16) in response to an imbalance of opposing hydraulic forces. The imbalance in forces results from varying the foresaid flow aperture (102) by displacing the output shaft (21). However, the flow aperture (102) is only transitorily varied by displacement of the shaft (21) since the valve (10) is designed to provide a follow-up servo function by which the piston (16) is kept at a substantially constant distance from the shaft (21).

    摘要: A piping system and method having a plurality of power operated valves located substantial distance apart. The method continuously monitors pressure conditions at each valve and senses abnormal pressure conditions indicative of a line break. When such abnormal pressure conditions occur, valves on opposite sides of the break automatically close. Pressure sensing continues and if after closing certain predetermined pressure requirements are met, the valves are automatically opened. Where the system includes looped or parallel branch lines connected at their ends to upstream and downstream portions of the main lines, valves in both branch lines and also adjacent valves in the main line may close, after which all of the valves will be automatically opened, except the valves that isolate the break. Also apparatus for carrying out the method, including means for monitoring pressure conditions and means for effecting automatic closing and opening of the valve responsive to predetermined pressure conditions.

    摘要: Universal control circuitry for an electro-hydraulic valve actuator system includes logic gate circuitry to control one or more of a closing solenoid valve, an opening solenoid valve, an emergency shutdown solenoid valve, and a hydraulic fluid pump motor to route hydraulic fluid through a hydraulic circuit to actuate a valve via a hydraulic actuator according to received commands. The universal control circuitry is configured to control operation for multiple different configurations of a hydraulic valve actuator system including double-acting configurations, single-acting spring-to-open configurations, and single-acting spring-to-close configurations, each with or without an emergency shutdown arrangement (which may be configured to trip based on an external shutdown input alone or in combination with a local system power failure), a hydraulic accumulator, and maintained or momentary input commands.
