    摘要: Two motors are arranged on opposing sides of a common shaft, drive plates of the pump/motors being rigidly coupled to each other, for example by being in hard contact with opposing sides of the shaft. By providing hard contact between the pump/motor drive plates and a common shaft, the drive plates and shaft act as a substantially solid element under compression, thereby substantially canceling axial loads generated by the pump/motors directly through the shaft. Residual axial loads are handled via bearings positioned on the shaft adjacent the drive plates in such a manner that the drive plates are in light contact only with the bearings. As a result, friction experienced by the bearings is substantially reduced as compared to conventional systems, thereby improving the efficiency of the system. To further reduce loads on the bearings, the pump/motors are arranged to ensure that they generate radial forces in a direction that is opposite to that of a separation force generated by a torque transferring device carried on the shaft and transmitted to the bearings. A common housing surrounding the two pump/motors, bearings and torque transferring device is divided into three regions, to segregate the bearings and torque transferring assembly from the pump/motors. In this manner, the regions containing the pump/motors are substantially filled with oil to, for example, fully lubricate the pump/motors, while the central region containing the gears and torque transferring device contains a significantly smaller volume of oil to simply splash lubricate the contents of the region, thereby reducing drag on the bearings. Control means are provided for selectively moving the two pump/motors substantially simultaneously to a selected displacement angle, using mechanical systems alone and in combination with hydraulic systems.

The module includes a hydraulic motor configured to provide motive power at an output shaft, and a differential for distributing the motive power to right and left portions of the axle. The hydraulic motor and the differential are encased within a common housing. The vehicle may include a second integrated drive module having, within a housing, a second hydraulic motor (or multiple hydraulic motors), and a second differential coupled thereto and configured to distribute motive power to right and left portions of a second axle. The second module may also include a transmission within the same housing. The transmission may be a two speed or other multi-speed transmission. The second module is configured to operate in neutral while power demand is below a threshold, and to engage while the power demand exceeds the threshold. The second module may be configured to remain engaged for full-time four-wheel-drive operation.

    摘要: Two motors are arranged on opposing sides of a common shaft, drive plates of the pump/motors being rigidly coupled to each other, for example by being in hard contact with opposing sides of the shaft. By providing hard contact between the pump/motor drive plates and a common shaft, the drive plates and shaft act as a substantially solid element under compression, thereby substantially canceling axial loads generated by the pump/motors directly through the shaft. Residual axial loads are handled via bearings positioned on the shaft adjacent the drive plates in such a manner that the drive plates are in light contact only with the bearings. As a result, friction experienced by the bearings is substantially reduced as compared to conventional systems, thereby improving the efficiency of the system. To further reduce loads on the bearings, the pump/motors are arranged to ensure that they generate radial forces in a direction that is opposite to that of a separation force generated by a torque transferring device carried on the shaft and transmitted to the bearings. A common housing surrounding the two pump/motors, bearings and torque transferring device is divided into three regions, to segregate the bearings and torque transferring assembly from the pump/motors. In this manner, the regions containing the pump/motors are substantially filled with oil to, for example, fully lubricate the pump/motors, while the central region containing the gears and torque transferring device contains a significantly smaller volume of oil to simply splash lubricate the contents of the region, thereby reducing drag on the bearings. Control means are provided for selectively moving the two pump/motors substantially simultaneously to a selected displacement angle, using mechanical systems alone and in combination with hydraulic systems.

    摘要: A variable displacement hydrostatic axial piston machine has a cylinder barrel which is rotatable in a yoke and has a plurality of circumferentially spaced cylinder bores in which are mounted pistons which with the ends of their associated piston rods are journalled in a drive disk on a machine shaft rotatably mounted in the casing of the machine. The yoke is mounted in said casing pivotable about a transfer axis through the drive disk center by means of an adjustment device for varying the displacement and possibly also the mode of the operation of the machine, in the yoke and the machine casing furthermore being disposed a pair of hydraulic fluid connecting conduits. For obtaining a lighter and more compact design of the machine the yoke is formed with a guiding segment instead of another leg, said segment being adapted to be moved in a curved guide path in the casing located in a plane perpendicular to the pivot axis of the yoke, one of the connecting conduits for hydraulic fluid to the cylinder barrel extending within said yoke leg while the other is formed by a hollow space in the machine casing, and the adjustment device comprises two cylinder bores in the yoke with adjustment pistons therein and an adjustment valve for selectively connecting one of said pair of adjustment cylinder bores with one of the hydraulic fluid conduits for adjusting the yoke.
