Abstract: Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) numerologies that maintain symbol boundary alignment while distributing excess cyclic prefixes (CPs) among OFDM symbols. Communication is established using a first sub-carrier spacing (SCS) and a first OFDM numerology, such as an exemplary numerology that distributes excess CP duration among a set of symbols that occupy a time interval within or equal to a corresponding time interval of a symbol of a second OFDM numerology with a second lower SCS. The first SCS may be, e.g., 960 kHz. The second SCS may be, e.g., 120 kHz. Another exemplary OFDM numerology described herein distributes the excess CP as prefix and postfix portions to one of the symbols, such as the first symbol of a set. Communication then proceeds using the first OFDM numerology at the first SCS and, in illustrative examples, using the second OFDM numerology at the second SCS or other OFDM numerologies at other SCSs.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for wireless communication. In one aspect of the disclosure, a method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station, a scheduling downlink control information (DCI) message in a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). The scheduling DCI message indicates a resource allocation for a scheduled DCI message in a subsequent physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). The method further includes receiving, from the base station, the scheduled DCI message within the subsequent PDSCH. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may process, for a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) communication in a millimeter wave (mmWave) band, information for transmission, wherein the information is modulated using an extended sequence with a length greater than a base sequence length for PUCCH communication or wherein a cyclic shift, of a plurality of cyclic shifts for a set of contiguous resource blocks for transmission of the information, is applied to the information based at least in part on a resource block group associated with the information. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which control resources may be identified, and a data transmission may be rate-matched around the one or more control channels of multiple UEs or at multiple aggregation levels in the control resources. A user equipment (UE) may identify a search space for a first control channel, and the rate-matching of the data transmission may be performed based on a location of the search space in the control resources. In some cases, a base station may provide a mapping of resources (e.g., a bitmap) within the control resources that are occupied, which may be used for rate-matching.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may obtain updated location information, and determine a time difference between a previous communication with a network and a scheduled uplink transmission. Based on the determined time difference, the UE may determine a timing advance (TA) component of a TA value to apply for the uplink transmission, and transmit an uplink message in the uplink transmission according to the determined TA value and the location information. In some examples, the time difference may be based on a first duration between the uplink transmission and a previous uplink transmission, a second duration between the uplink transmission and a previous TA command received from the network, or both. In some examples, the determined TA value may be based on additional parameters, such as an autonomous adjustment step, an aggregate adjustment rate, a scaling factor, or any combination thereof.

For example, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, an indication of a capability of the UE to switch from monitoring a set of frequency resources according to a first subcarrier spacing (SCS) to monitoring the set of frequency resources according to a second SCS, less than the first SCS. Abstract: Techniques are described for supporting user equipment (UE) positioning in a non-terrestrial network (NTN). To allow calculating a position/location of a UE based on reference signal (RS) measurements to and from one satellite (or a terrestrial base station), a device may be configured to calculate a doppler measurement and a range measurement and report such measurements to be used by a location server to calculate a UE position. An example device may receive a first RS (with the first RS being one of a positioning reference signal (PRS) or a sounding reference signal (SRS)), receive a second RS associated with the first RS, calculate a doppler measurement based on one or both of the first RS or the second RS, and report the doppler measurement. The doppler measurement (such as a measured frequency offset) may be used by a location server to calculate a UE position on the earth surface.
