Abstract: Techniques described herein include utilizing a mobile device as a proxy receiver for a vehicle such that a driver of the vehicle can be presented driving assistance information based on messages received by the mobile device. The mobile device can determine that it is temporally located with the vehicle. If so, the mobile device can be configured to receive messages from other entities (e.g., vehicles, roadside units, traffic signals, and the like) in a vehicle-to-everything network. On reception, the mobile device may determine whether a received data message is relevant to the vehicle. In response to determining that the data message is, in fact, relevant to the vehicle, the mobile device may provide driving assistance information that is generated based at least in part on the information provided in the received data message.

Abstract: A user device and transportation entity, such as a transport vehicle or transport server, perform information exchanges for a transportation service using Device-to-Device (D2D) communications, such as dedicated short-range communication (DSRC), a cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X), or a 5G New Radio (NR). The information exchanges, for example, are related to, e.g., logistics and delivery of transportation services. For example, the user device may transmit a transportation request message that includes information elements, such as an identifier, a type of transport device requested, a number of users, requested destination, etc. The transportation entity may transmit a transportation response message accepting or rejecting the request. Additional messages, such as a status request and status of the transportation, as well as messages related to completing the transportation service may be exchanged.

Abstract: Techniques described herein include utilizing a mobile device as a proxy receiver for a vehicle in a V2X environment. In some embodiments, the mobile device may be configured to obtain vehicle and/or occupant metadata and store such data in memory at the mobile device. At a subsequent time, the mobile device may receive a V2X data message from a remote device (e.g., a V2X capable vehicle, another proxy device, a roadside unit, or any suitable device of the V2X environment that is different from the mobile device). The mobile device may process the data message based at least in part on the vehicle metadata and/or occupant metadata and perform one or more operations in response to processing the data message.

Abstract: A small cell may include a base station that may be co-located with an edge computing device. The edge computing device may be integrated within a small cell base station or be a physically separate module communicatively coupled to and in close proximity with the small cell base station that provides edge computing resources at the small cell. The processing responsibilities associated with received data may be split or divided between the edge computing device and a target mobile device. For example, a portion of data processing may be performed by the edge computing device and the remaining portion of data processing may be performed by the target mobile device. The distribution of processing responsibilities may be based on radio link conditions or conditions (e.g., power state or processing capabilities) associated with the target mobile device.

The UE may access the web resource using an existing internet connection of its currently serving AP.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are provided for mobility management for wireless communications systems that utilize a flexible bandwidth carrier. Some embodiments include approaches for determining bandwidth information, such as one or more bandwidth scaling factors N and/or flexible bandwidths, at a user equipment (UE), where the bandwidth information may not be signaled to the UE. Embodiments for determining bandwidth information include: random ordered bandwidth scaling factor approaches, delay ordered bandwidth scaling factor approaches, storing bandwidth scaling factor value in UE Neighbor Record approaches, spectrum measurement approaches, spectrum calculation approaches, and/or a priori approaches. Flexible bandwidth carrier systems may utilize spectrum portions that may not be big enough to fit a normal waveform. Flexible bandwidth carrier systems may be generated through dilating, or scaling down, time, frame lengths, bandwidth, or the chip rate of the flexible bandwidth carrier systems with respect to a normal bandwidth carrier system.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for providing a virtual conference using a master device implemented with a personal communication device (PCD), including determining, by the master device, a latency for each of a plurality of satellite devices connected to the master device. The master device then determines an uplink buffer duration based on a difference between a highest latency and a lowest latency among the plurality of satellite devices. The master device determines a processing time for an uplink data packet, the processing time being determined based, at least in part, on the uplink buffer duration. The master device then performs signal processing at the processing time for the received uplink data packets.
