    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A communication device (e.g., a vehicle) in wireless communications system (e.g., a cellular-vehicle-to-everything (V2X) system) may support adaptive radar transmissions based on information received in a public safety message. The communication device may use information included in the public safety message to adapt radar transmissions to enable timely detection of vulnerable road users (VRUs). In some examples, based on a location and a velocity estimate provided in the public safety message, the communication device may adjust the radar transmissions to experience a trade-off between range and velocity estimation performance. Additionally or alternatively, based on positional accuracy estimates provided in the public safety message, the communication device may adjust the radar transmissions to improve beamforming. By adapting the radar transmissions, the communication device may experience low latency and high reliability for VRU collision warnings in the C-V2X system.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which interference between wireless devices that employ radar detection may be reduced or mitigated. A user equipment (UE) may transmit radar signals for target detection and collision avoidance in accordance with an interference mitigation procedure. The interference mitigation procedure may be based on measurement reports of different UEs that are transmitted to a first node (e.g., a roadside unit (RSU) or base station). The first node may configure a measurement procedure for multiple UEs that includes multiple measurement stages, in which a first stage provides that a subset of UEs transmit while other UEs measure received radar signals, and a second stage switches the transmitting and measuring UEs. Each of the UEs may provide measurement reports to the first node, which determines coordinated transmit parameters for the UEs to reduce interference among the UEs.

A first user equipment (UE) may transmit a request for a base station to establish a wireless communication link between the first UE and a second UE via an assisting device (AD) associated with an assisting node (AN).     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For example, a wireless device may support multi-band joint communication and radar (JCR) techniques. In some cases, a first wireless device may transmit, to a second wireless device, a capability message indicating whether a set of bands supports JCR operations. The second wireless device may transmit control signaling, based on the capability message, indicating a set of parameters for JCR operations including resources allocated for JCR operations. The first wireless device may transmit a JCR signal based on the control signaling via the allocated resources. For example, the first wireless device may transmit the signal for both communications and radar sensing in accordance with the set of parameters via the allocated resources.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) in a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) system may receive configuration information from an assisting node, such as a roadside unit (RSU), for calculating location information for a target UE in the V2X system. The assisting node may reflect one or more radar signals from the UE towards the target, and from the target back towards the UE according to the configuration information. That is, the assisting node may modify one or more waveform parameters of the reflection according to the configuration information. The UE may calculate location information for the target based on the reflection, such as by classifying the target as non-line-of-sight (NLOS) based on modified waveform parameters, location information of the assisting node, or both.
