Abstract:
An apparatus for attaching an inflatable cushion or vehicle trim portion to a vehicle. The apparatus comprising: a first means for engaging a portion of the inflatable cushion; a second means for engaging a portion of the vehicle, the second means being coupled to the first means, wherein the second means terminates in an engagement end, the engagement end being configured to slidably engage an opening in the vehicle.
Abstract:
An integrated source code control and work item tracking tool is capable of establishing a relationship between work definition and work implementation. Once established, a more holistic view of the development process can be attained, and specific tasks can be easily accomplished. Tasks that be may accomplished using an integrated source code control and work item tracking tool include: automated generation of a list of work items that are completed in a new build of the system; automated updates of work items that are included in a build so that the work item details reflect the build in which it became available; automated transitioning of work items through a workflow when their implementation is complete and when their implementation is available in a new build; validation that source code changes represent the implementation of work items that have been approved; and managing change in the source code system with a focus on what work items it represents rather than a focus on what files are affected.
Abstract:
An improved lubricating composition suitable for diesel engines comprising a major amount of at least one oil of lubricating viscosity and a minor amount of an alkylamine-alkylphosphate additive. The alkylamine-alkylphosphate additive comprises from at least 1.25 equivalents of alkylamine to 1.0 equivalents of alkylphosphate.
Abstract:
A vacuum packaging apparatus is provided for use in evacuating the air in an open-ended package and sealing the evacuated package. The apparatus includes structure defining a chamber sized only for receipt of the open end of the package with the remainder of the package disposed outside of the chamber, and a vacuum pump for evacuating the chamber and the package through the open end. The apparatus also includes a heating element for sealing the open end of the bag. The sealing element includes a seal bar supported for movement within the chamber between a retracted position removed from pressing engagement with the package and an extended position in pressing engagement with the package and a sealing wire supported on and extending across the seal bar. An electrical circuit supplies current to the sealing wire for heating the wire to a temperature sufficient to seal the package when the seal bar is in pressing engagement with the package.
Abstract:
The present invention includes methods and apparatus for the automated provision of goods through the use of scanning systems. More specifically, the present invention provides a method for automatically conveying which goods are being ordered, where the goods will be picked up, an associated method of payment, kitchen fulfillment, item tracking, and automatic delivery by a dispenser apparatus. In preferred embodiments, the present invention is applied to the automated ordering and pick-up of food items at a fast food restaurant and delivery to a food dispenser at a customer location.

Abstract:
A comprehensive electronic business support system comprises three layers: (1) the business layer, including various smart components which unify data and business processes across all customer interactions; (2) the integration layer, including various communications messaging interfaces and enterprise application integration adapters, which provide a flexible, automated, and process driven solution for integrating across business applications and operations support systems; and (3) the presentation layer, including various customer views, which are presented via particular business portals. A smart component server provides the core services and comprehensive business process logic required to successfully conduct business online. The communications messaging interfaces integrate with back-office systems for functions such as billing, provisioning, and interconnection.
Abstract:
A metal-modified alkylation catalyst including a metal/zeolite is provided where the metal is one or two selected from the group consisting of yttrium and a rare earth of the lanthanide series other than cerium. Where two metals are used, one may be Ce or La. The metal-promoted zeolite is useful as a molecular sieve aromatic alkylation catalyst for the production of ethylbenzene by the ethylation of benzene in the liquid phase or critical phase. An alkylation product is produced containing ethylbenzene as a primary product with the attendant production of heavier alkylated by-products of no more than 10-60 wt % of the ethylbenzene.
Abstract:
A portable rechargeable lantern capable of use in an explosive environment includes light emitting diode light source, fault tolerant circuitry, a rechargeable battery and a charging circuit that receives power from an external charger via an induction coil. Formed within a sealed housing, the induction coil charging system eliminates external metal contacts, thereby eliminating a potential ignition source during charging operations. Fault tolerant circuitry and a cool-running light emitting diode light source eliminate potential ignition sources due to breakage or fault conditions. Mating surfaces between the lantern and its charger cradle facilitate aligning the charging induction coils.
