Abstract:
A system, method and computer program product for maintaining shelf inventory data on a shelf. The system includes a camera for capturing shelf images of items on the shelf. An inventory database stores a product name, type, barcode, image and inventory data. An image-count correlation database stores historical product inventory images and product shelf inventory counts associated with the products in the historical images which are read from the product inventory database. A computer processor segments the shelf images into product inventory images, matches the inventory images with the historical images, and updates the shelf inventory data in the inventory database based on the product shelf inventory counts associated with the matched historical images in the image-count correlation database.
Abstract:
A service engagement map may be generated based on data collected associated with the service transition and delivery processes. The service engagement map may be refined iteratively by discovering additional data associated with the service transition and delivery processes and updating the service engagement map according to the additional data. Engagement metrics may be computed based on the service engagement map and presented. The service engagement map may also be presented visually.
Abstract:
A dielectric liner is formed on sidewalls of a gate stack and a lower contact-level dielectric material layer is deposited on the dielectric liner and planarized. The dielectric liner is recessed relative to the top surface of the lower contact-level dielectric material layer and the top surface of the gate stack. A dielectric metal oxide layer is deposited and planarized to form a dielectric metal oxide spacer that surrounds an upper portion of the gate stack. The dielectric metal oxide layer has a top surface that is coplanar with a top surface of the planarized lower contact-level dielectric material layer. Optionally, the conductive material in the gate stack may be replaced. After deposition of at least one upper contact-level dielectric material layer, at least one via hole extending to a semiconductor substrate is formed employing the dielectric metal oxide spacer as a self-aligning structure.
Abstract:
A conductive top surface of a replacement gate stack is recessed relative to a top surface of a planarization dielectric layer by at least one etch. A dielectric capping layer is deposited over the planarization dielectric layer and the top surface of the replacement gate stack so that the top surface of a portion of the dielectric capping layer over the replacement gate stack is vertically recessed relative to another portion of the dielectric layer above the planarization dielectric layer. The vertical offset of the dielectric capping layer can be employed in conjunction with selective via etch processes to form a self-aligned contact structure.
Abstract:
A user trajectory graph may be constructed based on spatio-temporal data. A mobility pattern may be extracted from the user trajectory graph. Users may be clustered into groups, wherein the users in a same group possess similar feature values in the mobility pattern, and the users in different groups have different feature values, to identify personas and location sets. A distribution model may be constructed that models user timing and location preference, wherein an outcome indicates a preference for a particular time bin on a particular day for a particular location.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and computer program products for cognitive content mapping and collating are provided herein. A computer-implemented method includes identifying resources relevant to an existing course; partitioning, based on pre-determined partitioning parameters, (i) the existing course into multiple portions and (ii) the resources into multiple portions; detecting content coverage gaps in the existing course by semantically comparing (i) the multiple portions of the existing course with (ii) the multiple portions of the resources; retrieving, based on the detected content coverage gaps, at least one of the multiple portions of the resources; and generating an updated version of the existing course by incorporating the at least one retrieved portion of the resources into the existing course.
Abstract:
A method for validating a remote user's identity comprises retrieving a user's photo and a user's signature from a digital associated identification card; requesting a real-time photo set, wherein the real-time photo set includes a first photo and a second photo; requesting a real-time written signature with the requested real-time photo set; signature matching the real-time written signature against the user's signature of the digital associated identification card; background matching a background in the first photo of the real-time photo set against a background in the second photo of the real-time photo set; user matching an image of the user from the first photo against the user's photo from the digital associated identification card; and validating the user's identity in response to determining that the signature matching satisfies a first threshold, the background matching satisfies a second threshold, and the user matching satisfies a third threshold.
Abstract:
A method includes obtaining from an online social media site a plurality of instances of images of objects associated with a person; analyzing with a data processor the plurality of instances of the images with a plurality of predetermined style classifiers to obtain a score for each image for each style classifier; and determining with the data processor, based on the obtained scores, a likely preference of the person for a particular style of object. The plurality of instances of images of objects associated with the person can be images that were posted, shared or pinned by person, and images that the person expressed a preference for. In a non-limiting embodiment the object is clothing, and the style can include a fashion style or fashion genre including color preferences. A system and a computer program product to perform the method are also disclosed.

Abstract:
Assignment scheduling for service projects, in one aspect, may comprise preparing input parameter data for servicing a client service request; generating a schedule for servicing the client service request by executing an optimization algorithm with the input parameter data; determining whether the schedule is acceptable by the client; and repeating automatically the preparing, the generating, the transmitting and the determining until it is determined that the schedule is acceptable by the client, wherein each iteration automatically prepares different input parameter data for inputting to the optimization algorithm and generates a different schedule based on the different input parameter data.
