Abstract: A powertrain unit includes an engine and a power transmission device that transmits drive force of the engine to a drive wheel of a vehicle, the power transmission device including a transmission provided in a power transmission path between the engine and the drive wheel. An oil pan is provided below the transmission. A guard member covering at least a portion of the oil pan from below is provided below the oil pan. The guard member has a first end secured to a portion of the powertrain unit which is located in front of the transmission in a vehicle longitudinal direction, and has a second end, opposite the first end, secured to a portion of the powertrain unit which is located behind the transmission in the vehicle longitudinal direction. The rigidity of the powertrain unit is improved by utilizing the rigidity of the guard member.

Abstract: A vehicle includes: a motor generator as a drive source; an automatic transmission via which the motor generator is connected to driving wheels, the automatic transmission being configured to change a gear ratio; and a shift actuator for a driver to operate the gear ratio of the automatic transmission. A control device for the vehicle includes: a motor controlling portion configured to control output torque of the motor generator; and a gear shift controlling portion configured to control the gear ratio of the automatic transmission. In a case where the output torque has a negative value, when downshift is not requested by an operation on the shift actuator, the gear shift controlling portion prohibits a downshift process of downshifting the gear ratio of the automatic transmission, but when downshift is requested by an operation on the shift actuator, the gear shift controlling portion permits execution of the downshift process.

Abstract: Even when a motor fails in an EV travel mode in which a clutch is disengaged, an amount of hydraulic oil that is supplied to the clutch can be secured by reducing a transmission leaked amount. Abstract: Provided is a control device for a hybrid vehicle capable of attaining an assist torque generated by a clutch mechanism at an appropriate timing, upon starting the engine. Since an electronic control device outputs an engagement command for engaging a clutch (clutch mechanism) at a time preceding an (ignition) start command time for igniting an engine by a preceding-sending time, the clutch becomes engaged when the engine speed starts to increase, and the assist torque generated by the clutch mechanism can thus be obtained at an appropriate timing. Because the engine speed that was once increased upon starting the engine is not decreased, the energy that was consumed for starting the engine can be effectively used.

Abstract: A control apparatus for a hybrid vehicle in which a friction clutch and a one-way clutch are disposed in parallel with each other between an engine and an electric motor. The transmission is disposed between the electric motor and drive wheels. The friction clutch connects and disconnects between the engine and the electric motor. The one-way clutch transmits a drive force in a direction from the engine toward the electric motor. The vehicle runs in (i) an electric-motor running mode with operation of the electric motor or (ii) a hybrid running mode with operation of the engine. The control apparatus is configured, upon execution of a shift-up action of the transmission with the hybrid running mode being selected and with the friction clutch being in a non-engaged state, to execute a shift-up action control by which the shift-up action starts to be executed after the friction clutch has been engaged.
