Abstract: A friction engagement device includes an elastic member between a piston and a friction plate in an axial direction. Elastic member includes: second engaged portion to be brought into engagement with engagement portion of tubular member so as to be movable in axial direction; and annular plate portion sandwiched between pressing surface of piston and friction plate from both sides in axial direction. Surface of annular plate portion facing first axial side is provided with projection and recess arranged alternately in circumferential direction. Assuming that a phase where radial groove provided in pressing surface and projection provided on annular plate portion are located at corresponding positions in circumferential direction is a particular phase, engagement portion of tubular member, first engaged portion of piston, and second engaged portion of elastic member are formed such that piston and elastic member are unable to come into engagement with tubular member at particular phase.

Abstract: A vehicle drive apparatus includes: a first bearing disposed between a rotor support member and a case in a radial direction so as to restrict movement of the rotor support member to a first axial side relative to the case; and a second bearing disposed between a connecting shaft and the case in an axial direction so as to restrict movement of the connecting shaft to a second axial side relative to the case. A fluid transmission device is disposed on the first axial side relative to the connecting shaft. The rotor support member includes a tubular portion having a tubular shape extending in the axial direction and fitted to an outer peripheral surface of the connecting shaft. Movement of the connecting shaft to the first axial side relative to the tubular portion is restricted.

Abstract: In an electric oil pump device including a drive power source and a gear device through which a vehicle drive force of the drive power source is transmitted, the electric oil pump device delivering a lubricant oil to the gear device, and generating a hydraulic pressure for controlling the gear device, a pump portion for delivering the lubricant oil, a motor portion for operating the pump portion, and a driver portion for controlling an operation of the motor portion are included. The pump portion and a part or an entirety of the motor portion are disposed within a space defined by an oil pan and a casing accommodating the gear device, and the driver portion is disposed outside the casing and the oil pan.

Abstract: A rotating electric machine includes a case, a stator, a first rotary member including a rotor core and a first shaft, a second rotary member including a second shaft, and a multiple disc clutch. A first oil passage and a second oil passage are provided inside the case. The first oil passage starts from an inside of the first shaft or an inside of the second shaft, passes through the multiple disc clutch from an inner side to an outer side in a radial direction with respect to a rotation center, and reaches an inner side of the rotor core in the radial direction. The second oil passage starts from the inside of the first shaft or the inside of the second shaft and reaches the inner side of the rotor core in the radial direction without passing through the multiple disc clutch.

Abstract: A powertrain unit includes an engine and a power transmission device that transmits drive force of the engine to a drive wheel of a vehicle, the power transmission device including a transmission provided in a power transmission path between the engine and the drive wheel. An oil pan is provided below the transmission. A guard member covering at least a portion of the oil pan from below is provided below the oil pan. The guard member has a first end secured to a portion of the powertrain unit which is located in front of the transmission in a vehicle longitudinal direction, and has a second end, opposite the first end, secured to a portion of the powertrain unit which is located behind the transmission in the vehicle longitudinal direction. The rigidity of the powertrain unit is improved by utilizing the rigidity of the guard member.
