摘要： A display that contains a column spacer arrangement which takes advantage of a protrusion on a TFT substrate is provided. One set of column spacers is disposed on top of the protrusion, while a second set of column spacers of substantially the same height as the first set of column spacers are disposed throughout the display. In this way, the display is adequately protected against deformation from external forces while at the same maintaining enough room to allow for a liquid crystal to spread out during the manufacturing process.

摘要： A gate drive circuit includes a shift register having stages connected to each other in series. An (m)-th stage (‘m’ is a natural number) includes an output part, a discharging part, a first holding part and a second holding part. The output part outputs the first clock signal as a gate signal in response to a first clock signal provided from an external device and discharges the gate signal in response to a second input signal. The output part includes a first transistor having a first channel length. The discharging part discharges a signal of the first node to the second voltage level. The first holding part maintains a signal of the first node at a level of the gate signal, and is discharged to the second voltage level. The first holding part includes a second transistor having a second channel length that is longer than the first channel length. The second holding part maintains a signal of the first node at a level of the second voltage level.

摘要： A thin film transistor (TFT) array panel, a liquid crystal display (LCD), and a method of repairing a TFT array panel with a defective pixel is disclosed. When a white defect occurs such that a pixel is always in a white state, a corresponding pixel electrode is supplied with the predetermined voltage applied to a corresponding storage electrode line so that the pixel becomes permanently dark, which may not be easily detected. The connection between the pixel electrode and the storage electrode line is provided by illuminating a laser beam from a common electrode panel through a contact hole in the TFT array panel to electrically couple the storage electrode and the pixel electrode. Advantageously, a backlight unit or chassis does not need to be separated or disassembled from the LCD when repairing the defect. Furthermore, the color filter stripes and the light blocking member are not damaged, thereby improving the reliability of the repair.

摘要： An apparatus for controlling inclined angle of an AV front panel for automobile is disclosed. Rotating force from a motor is transmitted to a rack attached to a slide plate through a power transmission system, and the slide plate is thus extended outward. The outer end of the slide plate pushes a lower part of the front panel, and the upper part of the front panel is lowered along a trajectory guide. Thereafter, rotating force from a second motor is transmitted to a sector gear through a second power transmission system. The rotation of the sector gear causes an end of an arm link to be lowered, thereby allowing the upper part to exit from an opening of the trajectory guide. As the upper part of the front panel is lowered, the front panel is laid down to be accessed therein.
