    Abstract: Techniques and systems are provided for processing video data. For example, techniques and systems are provided for performing context-aware object or blob tracker updates (e.g., by updating a motion model of a blob tracker). In some cases, to perform a context-aware blob tracker update, a blob tracker is associated with a first blob. The first blob includes pixels of at least a portion of one or more foreground objects in one or more video frames. A split of the first blob and a second blob in a current video frame can be detected, and a motion model of the blob tracker is reset in response to detecting the split of the first blob and the second blob. In some cases, a motion model of a blob tracker associated with a merged blob is updated to include a predicted location of the blob tracker in a next video frame. The motion model can be updated by using a previously predicted location of blob tracker as the predicted location of the blob tracker in the next video frame in response to the blob tracker being associated with the merged blob. The previously predicted location of the blob tracker can be determined using a blob location of a blob from a previous video frame.

    Abstract: Techniques and systems are provided for processing video data. For example, techniques and systems are provided for matching a plurality of bounding boxes to a plurality of trackers. In some examples, a first association is performed, in which case one or more of the plurality of bounding boxes are associated with one or more of the plurality of trackers by minimizing distances between the one or more bounding boxes and the one or more trackers. A set of unmatched trackers are identified from the plurality of trackers after the first association. The set of unmatched trackers are not associated with a bounding box from the plurality of bounding boxes during the first association. A second association is then performed, in which case each of the set of unmatched trackers is associated with an associated bounding box from the plurality of bounding boxes that is within a first pre-determined distance. A set of unmatched bounding boxes is identified from the plurality of bounding boxes after the second association. The set of unmatched bounding boxes are not associated with a tracker from the plurality of trackers during the second association. A third association is then performed, in which case each of the set of unmatched bounding boxes is associated with an associated tracker from the plurality of trackers that is within a second pre-determined distance.

    Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques relevant to HTTP streaming of media data. According to these techniques, a server device may signal an open decoding refresh (ODR) random access point (RAP) for a movie segmentation of a movie representation. At least one frame of the media segmentation following the ODR RAP frame in decoding order may not be correctly decoded, and wherein each frame of the media segmentation following the ODR RAP frame in display order can be correctly decoded without relying on content of frames prior to the ODR RAP in display order. According to the techniques of this disclosure, a client device may communicate a request to a server device for the streaming of media data based on signaling of the ODR RAP. Also according to the techniques of this disclosure, a client device may commence decoding and/or playback of the movie representation based on signaling of the ODR RAP.

    Abstract: A first descriptor describes an operation point. The second descriptor is a hierarchy descriptor or a hierarchy extension descriptor. The second descriptor has a hierarchy layer index value equal to a value of the second syntax element. A first value of a first syntax element in the first descriptor specifies that an elementary stream indicated by a second syntax element in the first descriptor, when not present in an elementary stream list, shall be added into the list, and an elementary stream indicated by an index in the second descriptor, when not present in the list, shall be added to the list. Responsive to determining the first syntax element has a second value different from the first value, adding the elementary stream indicated by the second syntax element, when not present in the list, into the list, but not the elementary stream indicated by the index in the second descriptor.

    Abstract: A video coder is configured to apply a separable bilinear interpolation filter when determining reference blocks as part of advanced residual prediction. Particularly, the video coder may determine, based on a motion vector of a current block in a current picture of video data, a location of a first reference block in a first reference picture. The video coder may also determine a location of a second reference block in a second reference picture. The video coder may apply a separable bilinear interpolation filter to samples of the second reference picture to determine samples of the second reference block. The video coder may apply the separable bilinear interpolation filter to samples of a third reference picture to determine samples of a third reference block. Each respective sample of a predictive block may be equal to a respective sample of the first reference block plus a respective residual predictor sample.
