Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A set of uplink control channel resources that are configured for acknowledgment transmissions may be shared among user equipments (UEs) that are enabled to receive multicast communications. Each of the shared set of uplink control channel resources may be associated with set(s) of channel state information. UEs may measure a multicast channel to determine channel state information for the multicast channel. After failing to receive a multicast transmission, UEs may transmit an acknowledgment feedback message over one of the shared uplink control channel resources that is associated with the set of channel state information determined by the UE. A base station that receives the acknowledgment feedback message may transmit a multicast retransmission for the UEs using transmission parameters that are adapted for the set(s) of channel state information associated with the occupied uplink control channel resource.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, such as a user equipment (UE) may receive, in an active duration of a multicast discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle, downlink control information indicating resources of a downlink data channel for a multicast message for a plurality of UE. The UE may monitor the indicated resources for the multicast message, as well as transmit, based on the monitoring the indicated resources, a feedback message corresponding to the multicast message. The UE may initiate a multicast feedback timer based on the monitoring the indicated resources for the multicast message, the multicast feedback timer indicating a time for monitoring for a retransmission of the multicast message. The multicast feedback timer may be different than a unicast feedback timer associated with unicast messages for the UE. In some examples, the UE may initiate a multicast retransmission timer following the multicast feedback timer. The multicast retransmission timer may be different than a unicast retransmission timer associated with the unicast messages.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications and capability signaling for enhanced handover processes are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a source base station, a band combination indicator to indicate at least one band combination supported by the UE. The source base station may transmit a source base station configuration and at least one band combination supported by the UE to a target base station for use during a handover procedure. The target base station may then transmit to the source base station, a target base station configuration to use in the handover procedure. The source base station may transmit to the UE, both base station configurations to be applied during the handover procedure which may include a number of band combinations. The UE may communicate during handover execution with both base stations using at least one band combination indicated in the received base station configurations.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a capability of the UE relating to a carrier configuration of the UE, wherein the carrier configuration relates to carriers of at least two different numerologies; and transmit information identifying the capability, wherein the information identifying the capability identifies a bandwidth or number of carriers that is supported for carriers of a first numerology and one or more scaling values associated with one or more numerologies other than the first numerology. A base station may receive information identifying a capability of a UE relating to a carrier configuration of the UE, wherein the carrier configuration relates to carriers of at least two different numerologies; and determine a configuration for communication with the UE based at least in part on the information identifying the capability. A user equipment (UE) may receive a connection release message, the connection release message including a resource indicator indicating that a set of resources are to be used for grant-free uplink transmissions by the UE while operating in a disconnected state. The UE may transition from a connected state to a disconnected state based at least in part on the connection release message. The UE may perform, while operating in the disconnected state, the grant-free uplink transmissions using the set of resources.

A user equipment (UE) configured as a drone-coupled wireless device may be configured to transmit a message indicating information relating to the drone-coupled wireless device (e.g., aerial state, non-aerial state, airborne status, drone capability, quality of service (QoS) requirements of a drone service) to a base station. Abstract: A method for wireless communication includes validating a PUR configuration in a NTN based on location-related information associated with a satellite. For example, a UE may determine, based on location-related information of a satellite in a non-terrestrial network, whether a preconfigured uplink resource (PUR) configuration is valid. The UE may also transmit, to a base station (BS) via the satellite in response to determining that the PUR configuration is valid, a communication signal in a PUR. For example, the UE may determine, based on the location-related information associated with the satellite, if the parameter satisfies the threshold, and transmit UL data in a PUR occasion based on the determined parameter satisfying the threshold.

The UE may transmit, during or after a random access procedure to establish a connection with the core network, a random access message in accordance with the selected random access message type. The UE may communicate with the core network via the connection.
