Abstract: In some implementations, a method of wireless communication includes receiving, at a user equipment (UE) from a base station, a downlink control information (DCI) scheduling a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). The PDSCH includes a first transmission occasion and a second transmission occasion following the first transmission occasion during a single slot. The method further includes determining, at the UE, an overall processing time following a last symbol of the PDSCH.

Abstract: In some aspects, a method for a user equipment (UE) is provided. In some examples, the UE determines a signal quality for communicating with a node. The UE determines a coverage level based on the signal quality, wherein the coverage level indicates resources to be used for communicating with the node. The UE determines a maximum repetition level and a repetition value, based on the coverage level, for communicating with the node. The UE generates a multibit repetition range identifier that indicates the repetition value based on the maximum repetition level. The UE transmits the multibit repetition range identifier.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may measure a physical channel such as a narrowband physical broadcast channel (NPBCH) to supplement (e.g., or as an alternative to) reference signal measurements when determining a received signal measurement, such as a received signal strength or received signal quality of a cell. A base station may transmit an indication to a UE that identifies the frequency at which a portion of NPBCH transmissions (e.g., reserved fields of a master information block (MIB)) is expected to change from one NPBCH transmission to another. The UE may adjust its utilization of NPBCH for determining the received signal measurement based on the indication. Further, the UE may communicate with the cell based on the determination of the received signal measurement, which are based on the indication.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify first set of metrics associated with a radio link monitoring procedure on a radio link and identify a second set metrics associated with a procedure for monitoring whether communications of a first service type or having a first quality of service requirement are supportable. The UE may monitor the radio link based on the first set of metrics to assess for radio link failure and monitor at least a portion of the radio link based on the second set of metrics. The UE may determine that a component of the radio link fails to satisfy the second set of metrics, and the UE may transmit an indication of the determination to the base station. The UE and the base station may update the radio link without declaring radio link failure.

Abstract: A phase tracking reference signal (PT-RS) may be transmitted to enable a receiver to correct phase noise in wireless communication. A UE scheduled for one PDSCH with DMRS ports in two or more DMRS CDM groups that are associated with two TCI states may be configured for PT-RS using two PT-RS ports. Therefore, rather than limiting PT-RS to a single port, the PT-RS may be transmitted to the UE using two PT-RS ports. The apparatus transmits a capability indication for more than one PT-RS port for receiving a downlink shared channel based on a first TCI and a second TCI. The apparatus receives a configuration for a maximum number of downlink PT-RS ports from a base station.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a capability of the UE relating to a carrier configuration of the UE, wherein the carrier configuration relates to carriers of at least two different numerologies; and transmit information identifying the capability, wherein the information identifying the capability identifies a bandwidth or number of carriers that is supported for carriers of a first numerology and one or more scaling values associated with one or more numerologies other than the first numerology. A base station may receive information identifying a capability of a UE relating to a carrier configuration of the UE, wherein the carrier configuration relates to carriers of at least two different numerologies; and determine a configuration for communication with the UE based at least in part on the information identifying the capability. Abstract: Techniques for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may initially configure a set of channel estimation parameters for a set of radio frequency spectrum subbands of a bandwidth part (BWP) of a transmission opportunity (TxOP). In some examples, the UE may identify an unavailable radio frequency spectrum subband within the BWP. Based on the identification, the UE may reconfigure the channel estimation parameters to avoid performing unnecessary channel estimation processes on the unavailable radio frequency spectrum subband. As part of reconfiguring the channel estimation parameters, the UE may set log-likelihood ratio (LLR) values of subcarriers associated with the unavailable radio frequency spectrum subband to a null value, thereby experiencing improvements in efficiency and reliability of channel estimation for the BWP.

Abstract: Cell-specific reference signal (CRS)-based unicast physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission is discussed for multicast-broadcast single frequency network (MBSFN) subframes. When one or more CRS-based transmissions are scheduled during an MBSFN subframe in an MBSFN region of a transmission frame, a transmitter can transmit CRS and CRS-based unicast transmissions when no multicast-broadcast transmissions are present in the MBSFN subframe. The transmitter will signal the intent to transmit such CRS-based transmissions, thus, allowing receivers to monitor for the CRS-based transmissions, or ignore monitoring if the receivers are configured in incompatible transmission modes. Additionally, capable receivers may enable CRS-based channel estimation for those MBSFN subframes in the MBSFN region when CRS-based transmission is activated.
