Abstract: At times a UE may have a data transmission that needs to extend beyond a resource grant in an ULRB portion of a slot. The UE may receive resource region reservation information from a base station and determine when to extend an UL transmission from the ULRB portion of a slot into the ULCB portion of the slot based resource region reservation information. The resource region reservation information may indicate ULCB resources which are reserved for PUCCH, PRACH, PUSCH, SRS, or other transmissions. The UE may determine to refrain from extending the data transmission into the ULCB when at least a portion of the data transmission would overlap reserved resources as indicated by the resource region reservation information.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a method for wireless communications in a wireless network via a radio access technology. The method generally includes determining dimensions of a matrix to be used for performing interleaving of modulated symbols carrying bits, from a plurality of code blocks, for mapping into bundles of resource elements, in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) system, based, at least in part, on one of a ratio of a code block size to a number of bits to be mapped into each resource element or the number of bits to be mapped into each resource element, performing the interleaving of the modulated symbols, according to the matrix having the determined dimensions, and transmitting the interleaved modulated symbols in the wireless network via the radio access technology. Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for processing reference and data signals for uplink transmission. A method is provided for wireless communications. The method generally includes obtaining different sets of samples for at least one of: a data signal or a reference signal; spreading the different sets of samples for the at least one data signal or reference signal using separate discrete Fourier transform (DFT) processing blocks; interlacing the spreaded sets of samples by assigning the spreaded sets of samples from each of the separate DFT processing blocks to equally spaced tones; and transmitting the at least one data signal or reference signal on the assigned tones in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) symbol.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides for adaptive resource management in new radio operations that favors the usage of resources for pilot signals and channel estimation in the transition slots of a slot burst, and the transmission of data in the subsequent slots of the slot burst. A device such as a user equipment (UE) and/or a base station may determine that the UE is operating in a transition state. The device may adapt a first numerology including a first number of symbols per slot used for transmission in the transition slots during the transition state, to a second scaled numerology including a second number of symbols per slot used for transmission in the subsequent slots after the transition state. A ratio of reference signal symbols to data symbol symbols may be greater in the transition slots than in the subsequent slots.

Abstract: A BS may transmit a first signal using a first group of one or more tones, transmit a second signal using a second group of one or more tones, and transmit a third signal using a third group of one or more tones in a GB between the first and second groups of tones. In one example, the transmitting comprises controlling a transmit power of at least one tone of the third group of one or more tones in the GB. The at least one tone of the third group of tones is on a different frequency grid than the first group of one or more tones or the second group of one or more tones. A UE may perform corresponding transmit power control operations for UL transmissions in a GB.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for adapting uplink transmissions during wireless communications are described. The method and apparatus include transmitting, by a user equipment (UE) operating in a Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communications (URLLC) mode, a first transmission to a network entity in a first frequency region, the first frequency region corresponding to a reserved frequency division multiplexing (FDM) region of an uplink channel. The method and apparatus include receiving an downlink grant from the network entity in response to transmitting the first transmission, the downlink grant indicating at least a second frequency region for uplink transmissions different from the first frequency region. The method and apparatus include adapting the first frequency region to the second frequency region for transmitting one or both of a retransmission or a subsequent transmission based on the downlink grant.
