    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A device may receive an indication of a subcarrier spacing (SCS) for communications in a plurality of transmission time intervals (TTIs), where a TTI include a set of symbols, a corresponding set of cyclic prefixes, and a padding duration. The device may receive a control signal indicating a configuration for the padding duration, at least a portion of which may be reallocated as one or more additional symbols with corresponding one or more additional cyclic prefixes. In some examples, the one or more additional cyclic prefixes and at least a first portion of the set of cyclic prefixes may be reduced in duration in comparison with a remaining portion of the set of cyclic prefixes. The device may communicate during the padding duration using the one or more additional symbols and the corresponding one or more additional cyclic prefixes.

    Abstract: An apparatus may configure a first set of resources associated with first control information for a relay device. The apparatus may configure a second set of resources associated with at least one of data or second control information for at least one UE, and the second set of resources may at least partially overlap with the first set of resources. The apparatus may transmit information indicating the first set of resources and the second set of resources to the relay device. Further, the apparatus may communicate, with the relay device, the first control information on the first set of resources and the at least one of data or second control information on the second set of resources, and the relay device may be configured to relay the at least one of data or second control information between the apparatus and the at least one UE.

A transmitting user equipments (UEs) may transmit a sidelink indication signal including a sequence (for example, wakeup signal or go-to-sleep signal) for a receiving UE to determine whether to monitor for scheduling sidelink control information (SCI) messages in one or more sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) on durations that overlap in time. The receiving UE may determine (for example, based on an initial value in the sequence, the resource on which the sequence was received, among other examples) a location of an on duration, and may perform a DRX operation (for example, may wake up or may go to sleep) during the on duration.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for scheduled communications in which multiple different communication instances are scheduled between a user equipment (UE) and a base station. Different communication parameters for different communication instances may be selected based on reported channel conditions between the UE and the base station. Subsequent to a report of channel conditions results in chanced communication parameters, the UE may blind decode a one or more scheduled communications using multiple candidate sets of decoding hypotheses to identify a first candidate set of decoding parameters that is used for the first scheduled communication. Such techniques provide that communication parameters may be adjusted based on channel conditions, and a UE may decode a communication in the event that the base station does not successfully receive a measurement report and continues transmissions using a prior set of parameters.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may identify a first radio bearer to be used for sensing operations and a second radio bearer to be used for data communications. The base station may transmit, to a user equipment (UE), a control message indicating the first radio bearer and the second radio bearer, where the first radio bearer and the second radio bearer may be indicative of a resource allocation for the sensing operations and the data communications. The UE may perform the sensing operations in accordance with a resource allocation, and perform the data communications in accordance with the resource allocation, where the resource allocation may be based on the first radio bearer and the second radio bearer. The UE may perform the sensing operations and the data communications in accordance with a joint communication and radar (JCR) system.
