Abstract: Various aspects of the disclosure relate to sharing vehicle sensor information. In some aspects, a requestor (e.g., a first vehicle) may transmit a request for vehicle sensor information. A responder (e.g., a second vehicle) may then respond with information sensed by the responder. For example, a requestor may unicast a vehicle-to-anything (V2X) message that requests a particular responder to share specified sensor information. As another example, a requestor may broadcast a vehicle-to-anything (V2X) message that requests any responder that meets a response criterion (or response criteria) to share specified sensor information.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) that is configured to transmit a message to a neighboring UE via multiple formats, identify a service parameter indicative of a format to be used for the message. The UE may convey information indicating the service parameter from a first layer of the UE to a second layer of the UE, wherein the first layer is an upper layer with respect to the second layer. The UE may generate, by the second layer and based at least in part on the information, the message in the format for communicating with the neighboring UE. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are claimed and described.

Alternatively, upper layer signaling messages may be transmitted separately before or after the RRC layer signaling procedure.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to device-to-device (D2D) and, more particularly, vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication in which an efficient ranging protocol allows efficient ranging-assisted vehicle positioning. A vehicle transmits a first slot ID in a first control period, to indicate a first time slot for transmitting a first ranging signal in a ranging cycle including a plurality of time slots. The vehicle transmits the first ranging signal in the first time slot in the ranging cycle. From a second vehicle, the first vehicle receives a second ranging signal in a second time slot that is different from the first time slot in the ranging cycle. The first vehicle determines a first time-of-arrival (ToA) of the second ranging signal when received by the first vehicle, and transmits the first ToA in a second control period.

Abstract: A transmitting UE may in a device-to-device (D2D) communication may identify a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) sequence for a D2D transmission based at least in part on a subset of bits of a sidelink control information (SCI) transmission. The subset of bits of the SCI transmission may be selected such that the bits have sufficient variability to reduce the likelihood that multiple UEs may use the same DMRS sequence. The subset of bits of the SCI transmission may be all or a portion of a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) for the SCI.

Abstract: A method, computer-readable medium, and apparatus operate to reduce or eliminate interference with one or more other communication systems having specific transmission requirements within a specific geographic area. For example, aspects operate by determining that a user equipment (UE) is in a protection zone where additional transmission requirements apply. The additional transmission requirements enable coexistence with one or more other communication systems in the protection zone. The UE may identify, based on being in the protection zone and a coexistence mode, one or more transmit emission limit requirements to be met. The UE may identify, based on being in the protection zone and the coexistence mode, one or more maximum transmit power requirements to be met. The UE may configure a transmit output power, at which the UE can meet the one or more transmit emission limit requirements and the one or more maximum transmit power requirements.
