Under such configuration, the number of required components can be reduced and generation of a gap can be prevented.

After the movable contact comes in contact with the fixed contact, the movable core moves further in a direction for coming into contact with the stationary core.     摘要: An electromagnetic switch is provided which includes: a coil generating magnetomotive force; a frame accommodating the coil and generating a flux path; a resin cover covering an opening of the frame; and a current-supply terminal member energizing the coil. The current-supply terminal member includes: a blade-shaped terminal whose end is connected to the coil and whose another end is drawn out of the resin cover in the axial direction of the electromagnetic switch; and a plate-shaped external connection terminal whose end is joined to an end of the blade-shaped terminal and whose another end is drawn out in the direction intersecting the axial direction. A portion between the ends of the external connection terminal is insert-molded in a terminal anchor block provided with the resin cover. A female terminal of a power supply connector provided at an electric supply line is fitted and electrically connected to the external connection terminal.

The main coil winds around the moving core and forms a tubular shape. The magnetically attractive core magnetically attracts the moving core based on magnetic force caused by the main coil. The linear solenoid may further have a secondary coil disposed separately from the main coil so that the secondary coil intersects with the moving core at a position corresponding to the secondary coil when the moving core moves toward the magnetically attractive core.

The electromagnetic switch includes a cylindrical slidable member that is separate from a plunger, loosely encompasses an outer circumferential periphery of a plunger rod, and is axially movable integrally with the plunger. The slidable member is at least partially axially inserted into an inner circumferential periphery of a cylindrical bore. The slidable member has a sliding surface such that, when the solenoid is in its inactive state, the sliding surface is entirely circumferentially in sliding contact with the inner circumferential periphery of the cylindrical bore, and has a vent groove axially extending on the outer circumferential periphery of the slidable member such that, when the solenoid is in its active state, a plunger compartment and the contact compartment are in fluid communication with each other via the vent groove.

    摘要: Some embodiments include a starter system with an electronic control unit controllable starter that includes a motor coupled to a circuit, and a plunger moveably coupled to a pinion. The system can include a first switch coupled to the circuit that includes two contacts, and a solenoid assembly that includes a first and second solenoid winding that can reversibly move the plunger to couple and decouple from the two contacts. A secondary solenoid assembly includes a third solenoid winding that can electrically couple with secondary solenoid assembly contacts, and two power isolation switches including a second switch and a third switch. The third switch can enable current to flow through the third solenoid winding and in the second solenoid winding after movement of the plunger has coupled the two contacts of the first switch, and the second switch is can enable current to flow to the first solenoid winding.

A Lorentz force that is generated by the movable element passing magnetic flux and the current flowing in the movable element acts in a direction for bringing the movable contacts into contact with the fixed contacts.
