    摘要: Hydraulic shock absorbing arrangement for pipe conduit systems including a piston slidably mounted in a liquid-filled cylinder to define spaced chambers. The piston has a rod connected thereto which is slidable in a guide positioned at one end of the cylinder. The piston rod is surrounded by a sealing bellows which is secured in a liquid-tight manner at one end to the piston and at its other end to the guide. The cylinder is mounted on a stationary bearing, while the piston rod is connected to a pipe in which shocks are to be damped. A throttling valve communicates with each cylinder chamber, the latter chambers communicating with each other through an overflow path. An expandable compensation bellows communicates with the atmosphere through an air outlet opening, but is otherwise closed.

    摘要: A telescopic gas spring comprises a cylinder closed at one end, a piston slidable in the cylinder and a piston rod carrying the piston and extending sealingly through the other end of the cylinder. An auxiliary spring is disposed at the closed end of the cylinder and comes into operation as the piston approaches a position of full compression, to provide additional resistance to further compression of the gas spring. The auxiliary spring may be a coil spring or a gas spring.

    摘要: The invention disclosed is a pressurized air-oil, telescopically configured, shock absorber of the type that may be incorporated in an aircraft landing gear or other devices subject to high structural stresses caused by high impact loadings. It consists of a substantially conventional shock absorber modified to include a control valve assembly which programs the opening and closing of the piston position controlling metering orifice thereof by means of a unique valve sleeve normally spring-urged toward a closed metering orifice condition but positioned to effect the opening thereof in proportion with the magnitude of the acceleration to which it is exposed during the impact loading of the aforesaid landing gear or other devices.
