摘要: A high efficiency bleaching method for cellulosic pulp includes: (a) providing a charge of aqueous cellulosic pulp to a bleaching vessel at a consistency of from 10% to 30% along with a peroxy bleaching agent and an alkaline agent effective to adjust pH of the charge to 9.5 to 12.5; and (b) bleaching the aqueous cellulosic pulp in the bleaching vessel while maintaining a bleaching temperature of from 110° F. (43° C.) to 135° F. (57° C.) and a pH of the charge from 9.5 to 12.5 for an extended bleaching retention time. The bleaching method is advantageously used to bleach low brightness recycle pulp, and/or as part of a multistage process with bleaching stages of lesser duration, and/or as a high peroxy efficiency, low dose bleaching process or in connection with concurrently storing and bleaching pulp.

摘要: A fiber-based, plastic-free drinking cup is formed by providing a fiber-based slurry comprising a hydrophobic additive and a strength additive, then forming a drinking cup component by compressing and drying the fiber-based slurry in a form press assembly having an internal shape characterized by a conic frustum. The fiber-based slurry may include a dry pulp mixture of virgin fiber and recycled fiber, the hydrophobic additive is 1.0-10.0% of the dry pulp weight, and the strength additive is 1.0-10.0% of the dry pulp weight. In particular, the fiber-based slurry may include about 50% bleached hardwood, about 50% bleached softwood, about 2.5% strength additive, and about 3.5% hydrophobic additive by dry pulp weight.

The method includes steps of: (1) impregnating the feedstock with cooking liquor to yield an impregnated material having a liquor-to-fiber mass ratio of at most about 4:1; (2) cooking the impregnated material to remove at least a portion of the lignin within the impregnated material, thereby yielding a cooked pulp; and (3) bleaching the cooked pulp.

摘要: The method according to the invention for producing a grass fibre-containing liquid packaging board has the following steps, specifically: providing a fibre suspension formed from at least a first and second pulp type, wherein the first pulp type is constituted by grass fibres, and the second pulp type is selected from a group of pulps which comprises primary fibres such as chemical pulp, for example sulphate pulp or sulphite pulp, in each case based on long-fibre wood or short-fibre wood, wood pulp, and synthetic fibres or recycled fibres based on one or more recycled paper classifications, mixing and/or swelling the fibres in the pulp suspension under predefined conditions with respect to material density and temperature, grinding the at least two pulp types together in a pulp suspension to a degree of dewatering between 40° SR and 60° SR, adding starch and/or a sizing agent as an additive in the mass, diluting the pulp suspension and producing a board on a paper machine, surface sizing the board using at least one starch-containing suspension, and drying the paper structure to a dry content between 4% and 10%.
