The container utilizes a layer of polypropylene or EVOH or a film of fluorinated polyethylene toward the interior from the recycled plastic to prevent contaminants from the latter entering the container's contents. When utilizing EVOH, the container usually has an additional layer of polyethylene or polypropylene covering the EVOH to prevent its deterioration by moisture. Making the container involves first composing a resin including the recycled plastic. Forming the various layers listed above produces a container that includes recycled plastic and a barrier to limit the migration of contaminants from the recycled material to the container's contents. This permits the use of the resulting containers for food. For a fluorinated polyethylene film, fluorination can occur either during or after the container's formation.

    摘要： Apparatus for continuously processing wood product formed from random lengths of wood strips assembled in face-to-face relationship with heat curable adhesive applied to adjacent contacting faces of the strips includes a pair of opposed, parallel, linear arrays of electrically insulative blocks, the linear arrays of blocks having inner, confronting faces spaced apart transversely to define an elongated, longitudinally extending press zone into which the product is adapted to be fed. A drive motor is coupled to each linear block array for moving the arrays in the same direction in unison to thereby advance the stock in the press zone. An adhesive RF curing zone substantially coextensive with the press zone is defined by the inner confronting faces of the block arrays and first and second elongated, parallel RF electrodes disposed between the confronting inner faces of the block arrays. At least the first electrode having inner and outer surfaces is disposed in its entirety within the confines of the press zone. A longitudinally extending bar of insulative material may be attached to the outer surface of the first electrode.

    摘要： A cushioned shipping assembly includes a corrugated carton and foam inserts which are returned by an end user to the fabricator. In some embodiments, the carton collapses to a diminished size for return. The fabricator refurbishes the components, recycling aged or spent pieces. Preferably polyolefin foams, olefin-based adhesives and coatings, and wood fiber-based corrugated material make up the cushioned system, and one component is compatible with recycling processes of others. The fabricator may perform on-premises pelletizing of reclaimed polymer, thus providing a more efficient, environmentally clean system.

Other embodiments may be comprised of recyclable materials not classified as cellulose such as, but not limited to, cotton, bamboo, hemp, or other natural fibers. The specific percentages of recycled and/or recyclable content are not limiting factors for the invention; however, most embodiments have consistent materials of construction such that the entire device may be recycled in a single recycling process without the need for deconstruction. Further, if not recycled, embodiments may be suited to biodegrade within a reasonable amount of time when exposed to the elements in a landfill. Typical embodiments are comprised of an inner shell, an outer shell and pressed cellulose insulating boards sandwiched between the shells.
