摘要: An image reading apparatus which is capable of performing accurate shading correction with simple arrangement while preventing a reference member from being scratched and preventing paper powder and the like dust from being deposited on the reference member. The image reading apparatus includes an image reading unit in which a contact glass guides an original on an image reading location. The contact glass is held by a glass holding member. A line image sensor reads the image on the original conveyed on the image reading location, through the contact glass. The image reading unit further includes a reference member whose image is readable by the image sensor, and a moving mechanism to move the image sensor so as to enable the image sensor to alternatively read the original and a reference surface of the reference member.

摘要: A module for synthesizing image-sensing signals comprises a first image-sensing element, a second image-sensing element, and an analog adder. The first and the second image-sensing elements are connected in parallel to an input port of the analog adder. The module provides an AD converter whose input port connects an output port of the analog adder. An output port of the AD converter connects a scanner controller. The scanner controller provides a first driving signal and a second driving signal to the first and the second image-sensing elements respectively. The first driving signals and the second driving signals respectively command the first and the second image-sensing elements to alternately output image signals during clock cycle. The image signals outputted from the first and the second image-sensing elements are composed by the analog adder.

摘要: An information reading device which has no need for mechanically moving a document or its reading portion and which is reliable to read information by using its two-dimensional reading system. A sensor panel is formed of first-layer striped electrodes made of material having high transmissivity and formed on a transparent substrate, a striped amorphous silicone layer laid with stripes disposed orthogonal to the first striped electrodes on the transparent substrate and second-layer striped electrodes made of material having a low transmissivity and formed over the striped amorphous-silicone layer. Photoelectric cells are formed one at each intersection of the first layer electrodes and the second layer electrodes. A thin flat type light source is placed on the bottom surface of the sensor panel and tightly fixed thereto. A plurality of photoelectric cells is two-dimensionally scanned by a first scanning portion and a second scanning portion and obtained current signals are converted into voltage signals by a current-to-voltage converting portion. The voltage signals are amplified by an amplifier portion and reproduced into an original image information by the signal processing portion.
