    摘要: In certain aspects, a method and apparatus for detecting foreign objects using heat sensitive material and inductive sensing is disclosed. In certain aspects, a foreign object detection system includes a heat sensing system comprising a heat sensitive material having a property configured to change as a function of temperature. The foreign object detection system further includes an inductive sensing system comprising one or more sense coils, wherein a change in an electrical characteristic of the one or more sense coils is indicative of presence of a foreign object. The foreign object detection system further includes a controller coupled to the heat sensing system and the inductive sensing system, wherein the controller is configured to determine presence of the foreign object based on at least one of a measure of the property of the heat sensitive material or a measure of the electrical characteristic of the one or more sense coils.

    摘要: One aspect of the disclosure provides apparatus for detecting an object. The apparatus comprises a sense coil. The apparatus comprises a processor configured to determine an amount of change in a reactance of the sense coil from a previous reactance value for the sense coil. The processor is configured to determine an amount of change in a resistance of the sense coil from a previous resistance value for the sense coil. The processor is configured to determine a presence of the object based on a relationship between the amount of change in the reactance of the sense coil and the amount of change in the resistance of the sense coil. The processor performs an inverse tangent operation on a quotient of the amount of change in the reactance of the sense coil divided by the amount of change in the resistance of the sense coil.

    摘要: The present disclosure describes techniques for detecting foreign objects. In some aspects, an apparatus for detecting objects is provided. The apparatus includes a plurality of sense circuits, each of the plurality of sense circuits including a primary sense coil having a first terminal and a second terminal, a secondary sense coil having a first terminal and a second terminal, and a capacitor having a first terminal and a second terminal. The first terminal of the capacitor is electrically connected to the second terminals of each of the primary sense coil and the secondary sense coil. The apparatus further includes a driver circuit electrically connected to the first terminal of the primary sense coil of each of the plurality of sense circuits. The apparatus further includes a measurement circuit electrically connected to the first terminal of the secondary sense coil of each of the plurality of sense circuits.
