    Abstract: A display device includes: a display panel including a display area, and a peripheral area disposed in the vicinity of the display area; a scan driver including a plurality of stages integrated on the peripheral area; a plurality of gate lines connected to the plurality of stages, respectively; and a plurality of pixel rows in the display area and connected with the plurality of gate lines, respectively. The plurality of stages and the plurality of pixel rows are each arranged in a first direction in a line, the peripheral area includes a fan-out region between the plurality of stages and the plurality of pixel rows, and at least one of the plurality of gate lines in the fan-out region is inclined with respect to the first direction, and a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.

    Abstract: There are provided a display device capable of detecting a defect of a scan driver. The display device includes pixels positioned in regions demarcated by scan lines and data lines, a scan driver including a plurality of stages connected to the scan lines, an inspection unit connected to the stages to detect whether the stages are defective, and including first transistors turned on when a control signal is supplied, and a timing controller supplying the control signal, wherein the timing controller detects a position of a defective stage by reducing a period during which the control signal is supplied.

    Abstract: A nano crystal display includes a display panel including a display area and a non-display area, a data driver which applies data voltages to pixels through data lines, a gate driver disposed in the non-display area and which sequentially applies gate signals to the pixels through gate lines in response to control signals, a control signal line part disposed in the non-display area and which applies the control signals to the gate driver, a cover layer which extends in a column direction and covers the gate driver and the control signal line part, and a sub-electrode which extends in the column direction and covers the cover layer. The pixels display gray scales corresponding to the data voltages provided through the data lines in response to the gate signals.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display (LCD) according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: a lower panel having a pixel electrode including at least one unit pixel electrode; an upper panel having a common electrode including at least one unit common electrode; and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the lower and upper panels. The unit pixel electrode includes an at least approximately diagonally oriented and parallelogram-shaped center electrode, and further includes a plurality of branches extending from the center electrode, and the common electrode includes an opening extending in a first direction corresponding to a direction of bending of the LCD.
