    Abstract: A display apparatus includes a base substrate including a display area in which an image is displayed and a peripheral area adjacent to the display area, a source/drain pattern on the base substrate, the source/drain pattern including a connecting electrode in a pad portion of the peripheral area and a electrode of a thin film transistor in the display area, a planarization insulation layer on the base substrate, the planarization insulation layer contacting a side surface of the connecting electrode and a side surface of the electrode of the thin film transistor, and exposing a top surface of the connecting electrode, a connecting member contacting the connecting electrode, and a driving member including a driving circuit, the driving member being connected to the connecting member.

    Abstract: An organic light emitting diode display includes a substrate, a plurality of pixels disposed on the substrate, and a plurality of transmitting windows configured to transmit light therethrough. The plurality of transmitting windows is spaced apart from the plurality of pixels. Each of the plurality of pixels includes a transistor and a capacitor. The transistor includes a light-blocking electrode disposed on the substrate and a plurality of electrode members disposed at different layers on the light-blocking electrode. The capacitor includes a first capacitor electrode disposed on a same layer as the light-blocking electrode, and a second capacitor electrode disposed on a same layer as a first one of the plurality of electrode members to overlap the first capacitor electrode.

    Abstract: A display device includes: a substrate including a display area and a non-display area; a transistor and a light emitting element, which are disposed on the display area; a pad portion disposed in the non-display area, where the pad portion includes a first metal pattern; and a printed circuit board or a data driver, which is connected with the pad portion. The transistor includes a semiconductor layer disposed on the substrate and a source electrode or a drain electrode which is electrically connected with the semiconductor layer. The source electrode or the drain electrode includes a first layer including a first metal, a second layer including a second metal, and a third layer including the first metal, where the first metal pattern includes the first metal, and is connected with the printed circuit board or the data driver.

    Abstract: A display apparatus and a manufacturing method may avoid electrical shorting caused by protrusion structures that result from a difference in etch rates. The display apparatus includes a substrate, a semiconductor layer on the substrate, a first metal layer arranged on the semiconductor layer, insulated from the semiconductor layer, and including a first metal layer having a first etch rate under a predetermined condition, and a second metal layer arranged on the first metal layer, contacting an upper surface of the first metal layer, including a second metal material having a second etch rate under the predetermined condition, the second etch rate being less than the first etch rate, and arranged in the upper surface of the first metal layer when viewed in a direction perpendicular to the substrate.
