    Abstract: A display substrate for a display device includes: a substrate which includes a light blocking region defining a plurality of pixel areas disposed in a matrix, each pixel area having a length extending in a second direction, and a width extending in a first direction; a color filter overlapping a portion of the each pixel area of the plurality of pixel areas; and an alignment layer disposed on the color filter. the color filter includes a first edge parallel to the second direction, and a second edge forming a predetermined angle with the first edge. The second edge is substantially parallel to an alignment direction of the alignment layer.

    Abstract: A display device includes electrodes disposed on a substrate, the electrodes extending in a first direction and being spaced apart from each other, a first insulating layer disposed on the electrodes, light-emitting elements disposed on the first insulating layer, between the electrodes, a second insulating layer disposed on the light-emitting elements, the second insulating layer extending in the first direction, connecting electrodes disposed on the second insulating layer and the light-emitting elements, the connecting electrodes electrically contacting end portions of each of the light-emitting elements, and a third insulating layer disposed between the connecting electrodes. An end portion of at least one of the connecting electrodes overlaps another one of the connecting electrodes.

    Abstract: A display device includes a substrate having a display area and a pad area. A gate conductive layer disposed on the substrate includes a gate conductive metal layer and a gate capping layer. The gate conductive layer forms a gate electrode in the display area and a wire pad in the pad area that is exposed by a pad opening. An interlayer insulating film disposed on the gate conductive layer covers the gate electrode. A data conductive layer disposed on the interlayer insulating film in the display area includes source and drain electrodes. A passivation layer disposed on the data conductive layer covers the source and drain electrodes. A via layer is disposed on the passivation layer. A pixel electrode is disposed on the via layer. The pixel electrode is connected to the source electrode through a contact hole penetrating the via layer and the passivation layer.

    Abstract: Provided are a display device its method of manufacturing. The device includes a base; first and second thin-film transistors (TFT) on the base, adjacent to each; an organic layer covering the first and second TFT, including a first and second opening overlapping the drain electrodes of the first and second TFT, respectively; a common electrode on the organic layer comprising a common electrode opening overlapping the first opening and another common electrode opening overlapping the second opening; an insulating layer on a bump spacer which is on the common electrode; a first and second pixel electrode on the insulating layer overlapping the common electrode and electrically connected to the first and second TFT, respectively, wherein a minimum distance between the bump spacer and the common electrode opening is substantially equal to a minimum distance between the bump spacer and the other common electrode opening.

    Abstract: A display, includes: a substrate; first signal lines (FSLs) disposed on the substrate and extending in substantially a first direction; a gate insulating layer (GIL) disposed on the FSLs; a first electrode disposed on the GIL; a thin film transistor (TFT) connected to a FSL of the FSLs and including the GIL and the first electrode; a pixel electrode (PE) extending in substantially the first direction, connected to the TFT, and configured to receive a data voltage from the TFT; a common electrode (CE) overlapping with at least a portion of the PE; and a first insulating layer disposed between the PE and CE. One of the PE and the CE has a planar shape and the other includes branch electrodes overlapping with the planar shape and extending substantially parallel to the FSL. At least a portion of the CE overlaps with at least a portion of the FSL.
