    Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a processor-readable storage medium for wireless communication are provided. A transmitter transmits data packets to a receiver, encodes the data packets to generate parity packets, stores the parity packets in a retransmission buffer, receives information from the receiver indicating that a data packet was not correctly decoded, and transmits to the receiver the parity packets stored in the retransmission buffer for recovering the data packet not correctly decoded without retransmitting the data packet not correctly decoded. The transmitter may further retransmit to the receiver the parity packets. The transmitted data packets may be encoded at a medium access control (MAC) layer of the transmitter. The retransmission buffer may be located at a radio link control (RLC) layer or a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer of the transmitter. A reordering buffer at the receiver may be located at the RLC layer or PDCP layer.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to operate in dual connectivity (DC) and with split radio bearers, such that one or more split radio bearers are associated with a first cell group and one or more split radio bearers are associated with a second cell group. In some cases, a cell group failure may occur. Accordingly, the UE may autonomously update one or more radio bearer configurations of the one or more split radio bearers to determine a processing scheme for the cell group failure. Additionally or alternatively, as a result of the cell group failure, an amount of unacknowledged data in a radio link control (RLC) buffer for the second cell group may get stuck such that the network cannot access it. Accordingly, the UE may perform a PDCP data recovery (e.g., user plane handling) to access the unacknowledged data.

    Abstract: Some aspects provide for establishing a radio connection for the wireless communication, determining a configuration for whether to segment one or more packets for the wireless communication using the established radio connection, and communicating the one or more packets based on the determined configuration. Some aspects provide for assembling a first frame comprising one or more packets, transmitting the first frame, determining whether a portion of one or more packets was truncated during the assembling of the first frame, and transmitting a second frame comprising at least the truncated portion of the one or more packets of the first frame.     Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a processor-readable storage medium for wireless communication are provided.     Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to managing service data flows and corresponding data radio bearers. An indication of a binding between a service data flow and a data radio bearer with an access point can be received. The data radio bearer for binding to the service data flow can be determined as either an existing data radio bearer that supports one or more quality-of-service (QoS) parameters of the service data flow or a new data radio bearer to support one or more data flows of the service data flow. An existing data radio bearer can be modified or a new data radio bearer can be established based on the determination. Based on the binding, a packet can be transmitted using the data radio bearer based at least in part on classifying the packet as related to the service data flow.
