Abstract: In some aspects, a base station may transmit a configuration that indicates a resource set to be used by a millimeter wave repeater for beam management, wherein the resource set includes a first set of resources to be used by the millimeter wave repeater to receive one or more reference signals from a first node and a second set of resources to be used by the millimeter wave repeater to relay the one or more reference signals to a second node. The base station may identify a first beam pair and a second beam pair based at least in part on the one or more reference signals received and/or relayed in accordance with the configuration, wherein the first beam pair is between the millimeter wave repeater and the first node and the second beam pair is between the millimeter wave repeater and the second node. Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, and a base station may receive, information related to multipath richness of a channel environment and information related to antenna module capabilities associated with the UE for at least a first frequency band and a second frequency band. The base station may transmit, and the UE may receive, information indicating a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) mode in which to operate one or more antenna modules of the UE based at least in part on the information related to the multipath richness of the channel environment, the antenna module capabilities associated with the UE, and respective cell loadings in the first frequency band and the second frequency band. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first wireless device may receive a measurement configuration, from a second wireless device, to support full-duplex operation using a shared resource. The first wireless device may transmit, via the shared resource, a first signal via a first transmission beam using a first antenna array of the first wireless device. The first wireless device may monitor, in accordance with the measurement configuration, the shared resource using a first receive beam via a second antenna array of the first wireless device. The first wireless device may then transmit a measurement report to a second wireless device based on the monitoring. The second wireless device may transmit, to the first wireless device, a duplexing configuration configuring the full-duplex operation of the first wireless device based on the measurement report.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatus for wireless communication of a phased array repeater. The apparatus may receive, from a base station, a signal for a user equipment (UE) at a first frequency. The apparatus may also adjust, at the phased array repeater, the first frequency of the signal to a second frequency, where the first frequency may be adjusted by heterodyning. Additionally, the apparatus may transmit the signal to the UE at the second frequency. The present disclosure also relates to methods and apparatus for wireless communication. The apparatus may transmit a signal for a UE at a first frequency. Further, the apparatus may determine control information for tuning a frequency adjustment of the signal at a repeater. The apparatus may also transmit, to the repeater, the control information for tuning the frequency adjustment.

Abstract: In one aspect, a method for wireless communication includes transmitting, by a wireless communication device, symbol configuration information for a particular transmission time interval (TTI). The symbol configuration information indicates one or more subsets of symbols of the particular TTI, and the wireless communication device is operating in a full duplex mode. The method for wireless communication further includes transmitting, by the wireless communication device, Quasi-Colocation (QCL) information for one or more subsets of the symbols, where the QCL information indicates multiple QCL per TTI. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques leverage user equipment (UE) functionality to repeat wireless signals received from a base station to one or more other UEs and received from one or more other UEs to the base station. The repeating UE receives, during a transmission time interval reserved for one of uplink communication or downlink communication, a signal from a first device. The UE operates in a time division duplex network. The UE routes the signal, via a radio-frequency (RF) transmission path from an RF receive chain of the UE to an RF transmit chain of the UE. The UE retransmits the signal to a second device during the transmission time interval.

One method may inlcude a base station or other device estimating an intended coverage area of all possible communication devices that are to be serviced by the base station or other device. The base station or other device may dynamically optimize at least one transmission metric such as a codebook, in response to a change in the coverage area. Another method may include a base station estimating a dynamic coverage area of a set of all possible user equipments or devices to be serviced, and dynamically optimizing a codebook structure in response to a change in the coverage area. Another method may include the base station determining a use-case of the set of all possible user equipments to be serviced by the base station, and hard-coding a metric corresponding to the use case.

Abstract: In wireless communication systems that support 5G or NR protocols, subframes used for communication may have different numerology options. Numerology options may refer to the characteristics of the subframe such as a tone spacing within each symbol of the subframe, a symbol duration for each symbol of the subframe, a number of symbols in the subframe, etc. A subframe may include a control channel (e.g., the PDCCH) and a data channel (e.g., the PDSCH). In an aspect, the control channel and the data channel within the subframe may have different numerologies. As such, a need exists to signal the numerology of the subframe to users and to determine whether and how to multiplex the control channel and the data channel into the subframe.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some communications systems, interference may impede signaling between a base station and a target user equipment (UE) such that a base station may identify a donor UE to relay communications to the target UE. The donor UE may receive a coded data packet from the base station, and may identify a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) scrambling code for the packets addressed to the target UE. In cases where the donor UE identifies that the packet has an RNTI scrambling code associated with the target UE, the donor UE may forward the coded data packet to the target UE base on the RNTI scrambling code. Such early detection of data packets addressed to the target UE may allow for the UE to forward a data packet without fully decoding the packet.

In an aspect, a position estimation entity determines a set of position estimates associated with a set of user equipments (UEs), obtains first measurement information associated with a set of signals as reflected off of a target intelligent reflecting surface (IRS), determines a position estimate of the target IRS based on the set of position estimates and the first measurement information, and determines an orientation, relative to a common orientation reference frame, of the target IRS based on the set of position estimates and at least the first measurement information.
