Abstract: A range estimator determines an at least one code sequence, causes an at least one light source to send the at least one code sequence as an at least one coded light transmission toward one or more targets, wherein the at least one code sequence is encoded as an amplitude-based code over time, or as a wavelength-based code over time, or as a combination thereof, in the at least one coded light transmission, causes a reflected version of the at least one coded light transmission to be received at an at least one sensor from the one or more targets, as a reflected light signal, correlates the reflected light signal with the at least one code sequence, to generate a time-of-flight value for the at least one coded light transmission, and generates a range estimate for the at least one coded light transmission based on the time-of-flight value.

Abstract: Techniques for enhanced Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) position determination can include capturing an image, from a camera, of obstructions near a mobile device. Orientation information regarding the camera can is used to determine where, in the image, the horizon is situated, and which portions of the sky are blocked by the obstructions from the perspective of the mobile device. Information regarding the location of satellites in the sky is obtained, based on an estimated position of the mobile device. Obstructed satellites can then be identified by comparing the location of the satellites with the obstructed portions of the sky. In a GNSS position determination, information received from the obstructed satellites can then be disregarded or de-weighted accordingly. In some embodiments, the information regarding the blocked portions of the sky can be sent to a server and/or shared with other nearby mobile devices.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to vehicle sensors. In some aspects, a device associated with a vehicle may obtain, from an external source, calibration data including a first set of measurements related to a position of one or more objects in a reference frame associated with the external source. The device may identify a second set of measurements related to the position of the one or more objects within a field of view of one or more onboard sensors, and update a calibration table based at least in part on a comparison of one or more of the first set of measurements and one or more of the second set of measurements that are most time-aligned. Accordingly, the device may convert sensor-derived location information from a source reference frame to a reference frame associated with the vehicle using the updated calibration table. Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enhance the navigation function of navigation/map applications or systems when GNSS signals are weak or sporadic. In one aspect, a UE monitors a position of the UE based on GNSS communication, where the position of the UE is monitored using at least one first map layer of a plurality of map layers associated with a map. The UE detects that the position of the UE corresponds to a predefined location when the GNSS communication is below a communication threshold. The UE switches to monitoring the position of the UE using at least one second map layer of the plurality of map layers upon detecting that the position of the UE corresponds to the predefined location, where the at least one second map layer is associated with the predefined location.
