    摘要: The invention is directed to an arrangement for monitoring a road condition which determines the coefficient of friction of the road surface on the basis of a signal corresponding to an acceleration of a vehicle detected by an acceleration sensor. The signal is converted into one of at least two predetermined values by conversion means in response to a magnitude of the acceleration every cycle of a predetermined time period. The converted value is summed up by summing means by a predetermined number of consecutive cycles to provide a total value in the last cycle thereof which is stored in memory means. Then, in determination means, one of at least two standard values is selected in response to the condition of increase or decrease of the total value in the present cycle provided by the summing means as compared with the total value in the previous cycle stored in the memory means. And, the total value in the present cycle is compared with the above one of at least two standard values to produce a road condition signal corresponding to a result of comparison which represents the coefficient of friction of the road surface. The present system is applicable to an anti-skid control system for an automotive vehicle.

    摘要: The anti-skid control system is provided with wheel velocity sensors only for the driving wheels and is capable of performing the anti-skid control through its accurate estimation of the vehicle speed and proper compensatory control even when sharp braking occurs immediately upon the release of the accelerator after the occurrence of acceleration slip. The anti-skid control system is capable of starting the anti-skid control with certainty even when the braking operation is not detected because of a failure in the operation of the brake switch. The system is provided with a fluid pressure generating device, a fluid pressure controlling device, a brake operation detecting device, an acceleration detecting device, a wheel velocity detecting device, a braking force controlling device, a first estimated vehicle speed setting device and a second estimated vehicle speed setting device.

    摘要: An antiskid apparatus including a changeover valve disposed in a line connecting a master cylinder and a wheel brake, the changeover valve being changed over between a first mode for cutting off the wheel brake from the master cylinder and connecting the wheel brake to a reservoir, and a second mode for alternately connecting the wheel brake to a pump and the reservoir when an antiskid operation is performed, a pressure increase control valve connected between the pump and changeover valve with wheel brake pressure serving as a control signal pressure, and a pressure decrease control valve connected between the wheel brake and reservoir with wheel brake pressure serving as a control signal pressure. The pressure increase control valve decreases an amount of pressurized oil flow from the pump to the wheel brake when wheel brake pressure decreases and increases the amount of pressurized oil flow from the pump when wheel brake pressure increases. The pressure decrease control valve increases an amount of pressurized oil flow from the wheel brake to the reservoir when wheel brake pressure decreases and decreases the amount of pressurized oil flow from the wheel brake when wheel brake pressure increases. The pressure increase and decrease control valves are formed integral.

    摘要: An anti-skid apparatus for installation in a vehicle braking system having a regulator valve for producing a hydraulic power pressure in accordance with a hydraulic braking pressure from a master cylinder. A control cylinder is disposed in a hydraulic circuit connecting the master cylinder to a wheel brake cylinder, and comprises a cylinder body having a cylinder bore defined therein and a piston axially slidably disposed within the cylinder bore. This piston forms at its one end a pressure chamber communicating with the wheel brake cylinder, and is applied at its the other end with the hydraulic power pressure from the regulator. Disposed in the control cylinder is a normally open cut-off valve which normally permits the flow of the hydraulic braking pressure from the master cylinder into the pressure chamber and blocks the flow of the hydraulic braking pressure when the piston moves to an extent more than a predetermined distance from its initial position for decreasing the volume of the pressure chamber. And, a changeover valve is disposed between the regulator valve and the control cylinder, and applies the hydraulic power pressure to the piston or discharges it from the control cylinder.

The master cylinder and wheel cylinder being brought into slight communication via a microgroove in the spool of the cut-off valve when the spool is at a closed position. Pedal shock at antiskid operation is alleviated.

    摘要: The present invention relates an antiskid apparatus for an automotive vehicle. The apparatus includes a cut-off valve which is connected between a master cylinder and a wheel cylinder and provides communication therebetween in response to wheel cylinder pressure and cuts off pressurized hydraulic fluid from the master cylinder when an antiskid operation is performed by the control system. A solenoid valve is positioned in a conduit which connects the wheel cylinder to the cut-off valve. The solenoid valve is also connected to a discharge side of a pump which circulates pressurized oil. When the solenoid is in a normal position, the wheel cylinder is connected to the cut-off valve in the discharge side of the pump. When changed over from the normal position, the solenoid valve disconnects the wheel cylinder from the cut-off valve and the discharge side of the pump and connects the wheel cylinder to a reservoir connected to an intake side of the pump.

A support member is arranged within the first fluid chamber formed therein with an axial bore in which a large diameter portion of the piston is slidably disposed to form a third annular fluid chamber. The support member is further formed with an orifice for effecting the fluid flow between the first and third fluid chambers in response to axial movement of the piston.
