Abstract:
An apparatus is disclosed which functions in a manner to pass by intermittent drive a member through a printing station for replicating at spaced locations a desired plurality of like imprint presentations. The printing components at the printing station are arranged in cooperation with an index mechanism for indexing the components after each plurality of replications to the next following sequence. The index mechanism comprises a train of geneva-type gears having a plurality of inputs thereto whereby additional replication may be accomplished.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for air stream dispensing and spraying of pulverulent material with less noise is described using means for developing two separate outward air flows from a dispensing gun. One flow is of a high velocity and the second flow is of a lower velocity. After both flows leave the gun, the lower velocity flow surrounds the high velocity flow (e.g., as concentric annular flow about a columnar flow). Pulverulent material is fed to the lower velocity flow to be entrained therewith and transferred, at least in part, downstream from the gun to the higher velocity flow and thus finely dispensed over a desired area or product.

PLASMINOGEN IN BLOOD PLASMA IS QUANTITATIVELY DETERMINED BY MEASURING THE DIAMETER OF THE CLEAR RADIAL DIFFUSION ZONE PRODUCED BY THE REACTION OF THE BLOOD PLASMA WITH KNOWN AMOUNTS OF CLOTTED FIBRINOGEN AND PLASMINOGEN SUSPENDED IN A STABLE GEL MEDIUM.

THE METHOD OF MAKING THIAZOLOPYRIMIDINES BY REACTION OF 6-AMINO-1,3-DIMETHYLURACIL WITH ALKYL ISOTHIOCYANATE AND DIMETHYLSULFOXIDE AT REFLUX TEMPERATURE.
Abstract:
REDUCED BLOOD CLOTTING IS FOUND UPON THE UTLIZATION OF ANTITHROMBOGENIC MATERIALS WHICH COMPRISE AN ORGANGIC PLASTIC HAVING DISPERSED ON ITS SURFACE, IN A PHARMACOIOGICALLY ACCEPTABLE CONCENTRATION, A QUATERNARY PHOSPHONIUM SALT OF A STRONG ACID WHICH IS GENERALLY INSOLUBLE IN SALINE SOLUTION.
Abstract:
A flow cell assembly for adapting an apparatus for both fluorometric and colorimetric studies. The assembly includes a holder having a folded optical path between an external light source and photosensitive response means. The light input to the optical path is at right angles to the light output therefrom so that the assembly may be employed in place of the sample cuvette of a conventional spectrofluorescence measuring instrument. The holder contains a flow tube having an offset sight passageway portion supported endwise in the optical path. The holder includes a light shield plate slotted to receive the legs of the offset portion and to substantially protect the offset sight passageway portion and the folded optical path from stray light. The flow tube may include an integral debubbler.
Abstract:
A plate dialyzer is provided with plates and membranes located therebetween. The membranes extend along the front sides of the plates and are bent around the ends of the plates. The ends of the membranes are tightly clamped between two adjacent plates. The plates have channels used for supplying or removing at least one of the dialysis liquids.
