Abstract:
A method and a wireless station are described for receiving signals. The wireless station receives from a base station configured to use at least one of a plurality of time division duplex (TDD) uplink-downlink (UL-DL) subframe configurations, each of which indicates locations of at least one DL subframe and at least one UL subframe in a radio frame, a signal including information indicating that at least one uplink subframe indicated by the at least one of the plurality of TDD UL-DL subframe configurations is reconfigured as a DL subframe. The wireless station receives, from the base station, DL data on the UL subframe according to the signal.
Abstract:
A method for a channel sounding in a wireless local area network. A station receives a 20 MHz null data packet announcement (NDPA) frame and at least one duplicate 20 MHz NDPA frame. The at least one duplicate 20 MHz NDPA frame is a duplicate of the 20 MHz NDPA frame. The station also receives a null data packet (NDP) following the 20 MHz NDPA frame and the at least one duplicate 20 MHz NDPA frame. The bandwidth over which the 20 MHz NDPA frame and the at least one duplicate 20 MHz NDPA frame are transmitted is the same as a bandwidth over which the NDP is transmitted. The station transmits a report frame for the channel sounding. The 20 MHz NDPA frame and the at least one duplicate 20 MHz NDPA frame comprise bandwidth information indicating the bandwidth over which the frames are transmitted.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting a downlink reference signal in a wireless communication system supporting multiple antennas is disclosed. A method for transmitting Channel State Information-Reference Signals (CSI-RSs) for eight or less antenna ports includes selecting one of a plurality of CSI-RS Resource Element (RE) groups defined on a data region of a downlink subframe and mapping CSI-RSs for the eight or less antenna ports to the selected CSI-RS RE group, and transmitting the downlink subframe in which the CSI-RSs for the eight or less antenna ports are mapped. The plurality of CSI-RS RE groups is defined such that a transmission diversity RE pair for data transmitted on the downlink subframe is not broken.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting channel quality information for a downlink channel. The method according to one embodiment includes receiving, by a User Equipment (UE), configuration information on periodic channel state information (CSI) reporting by higher layer signaling; and determining, by the UE, a channel quality information index at least based on a UE-specific reference signal overhead. The UE-specific reference signal overhead is determined according to a rank value. The method according to the one embodiment further includes transmitting the determined channel quality information index to a base station. The channel quality information index is determined further based on an assumption of no resource element allocated for a Channel Status Information-Reference Signal (CSI-RS).
Abstract:
A method for transmitting, by a base station, configuration information for a reference signal for channel measurement. The method according to one embodiment includes transmitting, to a user equipment, first resource information for indicating a first pattern, first subframe information for indicating a first subframe, second resource information for indicating a second pattern, and second subframe information for indicating a second subframe. The first subframe information includes information indicating a first periodic interval, and the second subframe information indicates information indicating a second periodic interval. Each of the first and second subframes is comprised of two slots—slot 0 and slot 1, and each of the first and second reference signal time-frequency resources is within two OFDM symbols other than OFDM symbols 0, 1, 2, and 3 of the slot 0 and other than OFDM symbols 0, 1, and 3 of the slot 1.
Abstract:
An interference avoidance method performed by an Access Point (AP) in a WLAN system in an Overlapping Basic Service Set (OBSS) environment is provided. The interference avoidance method includes receiving an interference avoidance request message from the first STA, the interference avoidance request message informing that frame transmission of the AP acts as interference with a first STA; transmitting an interference avoidance response message in response to the interference avoidance request message; obtaining first channel information about a first channel between the first STA and the AP from the first STA which has received the interference avoidance response message; determining a transmitting steering matrix based on the first channel information; and transmitting data to a second STA by performing beamforming according to the transmitting steering matrix.
Abstract:
A method of operating a relay station in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes operating in a first mode comprising a first sub-mode and a second sub-mode, in the first sub-mode a first downlink and a first uplink between a base station and the relay station being simultaneously activated, in the second sub-mode a second downlink and a second uplink between the relay station and a mobile station being simultaneously activated, and operating in a second mode comprising a third sub-mode and a fourth sub-mode, in the third sub-mode the first downlink and the second uplink being simultaneously activated, in the fourth sub-mode the first uplink and the second downlink being simultaneously activated.
Abstract:
A base station apparatus for transmitting a reference signal in a wireless communication system is provided in which a processor generates the same sequence for resource elements (REs) allocated to each layer for reference signal transmission and spreads or covers Walsh codes for a user equipment—specific reference signal sequence such that sequences generated for the resource elements can be orthogonal to each other on a time axis. The Walsh code spreading or covering by the processor is applied on a frequency axis based on a plurality of resource blocks (RBs) or based on a pair of resource blocks such that mutually different sequences having mutually different sequence values can be mapped between resource blocks or between pairs of resource blocks. A transmission module transmits the reference signal, to which the generated reference signal sequence is applied to user equipment via each layer.
Abstract:
A method of supporting Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) includes receiving an initial uplink grant on a downlink channel, transmitting uplink data on an uplink channel using the initial uplink grant, receiving a request for retransmission of the uplink data, determining at least one transmission parameter of a channel quality indicator (CQI) from the initial uplink grant, multiplexing retransmission data of the uplink data with the CQI, and transmitting the multiplexed data on the uplink channel. Amount of resources for transmission of the CQI is determined based on the at least one transmission parameter.
Abstract:
A method is described for transmitting signals at a communication apparatus in a wireless communication system supporting a plurality of component carriers. A physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) with uplink control information (UCI) and a PUSCH without the UCI are simultaneously transmitted using the plurality of component carriers. A predefined transmission power determination scheme is used to determine the transmission power of the PUSCH with the UCI, and determine the transmission power of the PUSCH without the UCI. If a total transmission power of the PUSCH with the UCI and the PUSCH without the UCI exceeds a value corresponding to a maximum transmission power configured for the communication apparatus, the determined transmission power of the PUSCH without UCI is adjusted while maintaining the determined transmission power of the PUSCH with the UCI.
