Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a mapping between a set of synchronization signal block resources and a set of operating frequencies within a frequency band. The UE may identify a parameter of a synchronization signal block based on an operating frequency of the set of operating frequencies for conveying the synchronization signal block and a direction of a beam for conveying the synchronization signal block. The parameter may include an index of the synchronization signal block. The UE may monitor for the synchronization signal block based on the identified parameter.

Abstract: Example implementations include a method, apparatus and computer-readable medium for wireless communication configured for estimating a channel using a set of predefined sensing beams to measure reference signals. Estimating the channel may include generating an N×N channel correlation matrix, where N is a number of antenna elements in the antenna array. The implementations further include generating a set of dynamic beam weights to maximize a reference signal received power (RSRP) based on the estimated channel. The set of dynamic beam weights may be based on an eigenvector of the channel correlation matrix. Additionally, the implementations further include applying the set of dynamic beam weights to an antenna array.

The network device may identify, based on a co-phasing parameter associated with the two (or more) beamformed signals, an antenna port precoder configuration to use for communicating with the UE.

A user equipment (UE) may transmit control signaling indicating a set of beamforming configurations associated with a set of antenna panels at the UE. The UE may select one or more antenna elements of at least one antenna panel of the set of antenna panels based on a beamforming configuration associated with the at least one antenna panel. The UE may generate a set of beam weights for a wireless communication based on the beamforming configuration and the one or more antenna elements, and may use the generated set of beam weights to transmit the wireless communication. In some examples, the UE may include, in the control signaling, indications of a set of beamforming properties, a number of beam weights, a resource differential, or a combination thereof, associated with each beamforming configuration.

Abstract: Aspects are provided which allow a transmitting device to provide reference signals to a receiving device for beam management according to an arbitrarily determined sequence of transmission beams at any time, and to implicitly convey information regarding the determined sequence of transmission beams to the receiving device. The transmitting device provides a message to the receiving device indicating a beam sequence conveyance mode. The transmitting device subsequently determines a sequence of different transmission beams, and associates a reference signal with each one of the transmission beams for transmission to the receiving device according to the sequence. The receiving device obtains the plurality of reference signals from the transmitting device, where each of the reference signals is associated with a different transmission beam. The receiving device identifies a reception beam for each of the transmission beams, and determines a sequence of the transmission beams in response to the identification.

A first device may transmit, to a second device in the wireless network, a first indication of a sequence of one or more beam training phases for a beam training procedure between the first device and the second device. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a broadcast transmitter, a broadcast signal including one or more multi-resolution messages. The UE may decode at least one of the one or more multi-resolution messages based on receiving the broadcast signal from the broadcast transmitter, and may determine that a data rate associated with the broadcast signal is less than a threshold based on the decoding. The UE may transmit a signal querying the broadcast reception capability of a base station based on determining the data rate. In response to the query signal, the UE may receive a signal indicating a broadcast reception capability of the base station, and may communicate, with the base station, based on the broadcast reception capability of the base station.
