Abstract: Coordinate multi-point (CoMP) transmission is facilitated by resolving collisions between feedback reporting. Based upon the conditions within the network, collision resolution may be by dropping a channel report during a subframe, multiplexing channel reports from a plurality of user equipment, compressing channel reports from a plurality of user equipment, and combined reporting, either through joint reports or by using carrier aggregation, for conditions between a user equipment and a plurality of transmission points. New signaling and reporting formats facilitate selection of a collision resolution suitable for current network conditions.

Abstract: A discovery signal transmission/reception method and an apparatus for improving energy efficiency of the system are provided. The discovery signal transmission method of a base station in a mobile communication system according to the present disclosure includes acquiring a discovery signal configuration of a neighbor cell, transmitting the discovery signal configuration to a terminal, receiving a measurement report including a result of measurement on a discovery signal of the neighbor from the terminal, the measurement being performed based on the discovery signal configuration, and determining whether to make a handover decision for the terminal based on the measurement report. The discovery signal transmission/reception method of the present disclosure is advantageous in improving energy efficiency of a mobile communication system.

A feedback method of a terminal (1200) in a mobile communication system includes acquiring reference antenna port information for at least one Reference Signal (RS), receiving the at least one Reference Signal (RS) from a base station (1300), estimating at least one channel carrying the at least one Reference Signal (RS), and transmitting feedback information on at least one estimated channel to the base station (1200).
