Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include methods for adjusting sensitivity of a photodiode in a light detection system. Methods according to certain embodiments include detecting light with a light detection system having a photodiode and an amplifier, determining responsivity of the photodiode over a plurality of wavelengths of light and adjusting one or more parameters of the amplifier in response to the responsivity of the photodiode over the plurality of wavelengths of light. Systems (e.g., particle analyzers) having a light source and a light detection system that includes a photodiode and an amplifier for practicing the subject methods are also described. Non-transitory computer readable storage medium are also provided.

Abstract: A drug delivery device includes a microcontroller, a pressure sensor, and/or a fluid pathway including a reservoir, a pump downstream of the reservoir, and/or a fluid line downstream of the pump. The reservoir may be configured to receive a fluid. The pump may be configured to deliver the fluid from the reservoir to the fluid line. The pressure sensor may configured to measure a pressure in the fluid pathway. The microcontroller may be programmed and/or configured to: receive, from the pressure sensor, the pressure measured in the fluid pathway; determine, based on the pressure measured in the fluid pathway, whether the reservoir is empty of the fluid; and/or control an output device to provide an indication associated with the determination of whether the reservoir is empty of the fluid.

The reservoir may be configured to receive a fluid, and the pump may be configured to deliver the fluid from the reservoir to the fluid line. The pressure sensor may be configured to measure a pressure in the fluid pathway downstream of the pump. The microcontroller may be programmed and/or configured to: receive, from the pressure sensor, the pressure measured in the fluid pathway downstream of the pump as the fluid is delivered to the fluid line; determine, based on the pressure measured in the fluid pathway, whether the fluid delivered to the fluid line includes a gas bubble; and control an output device to provide an indication associated with the determination a gas bubble.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include a particle sorter with a droplet deflector configured to apply a known offset deflection force to a droplet stream. Particle sorters according to certain embodiments include a flow cell, a light source, e.g., laser, for irradiating an interrogation point of the flow cell, a detector for detecting light from the interrogation point, a droplet generator for producing a droplet stream from fluid exiting the flow cell and a droplet deflector configured to apply a known offset deflection force to the droplet stream. In some cases, the droplet deflector comprises first and second plates configured to be offset from one another. Methods and particle sorting modules for applying a known offset deflection force are also provided.

Abstract: A disinfection tip is described for disinfecting a threaded connector of a syringe. The disinfection tip includes a cylindrical outer housing, a substantially cylindrical inner housing extending from a distal wall of the outer housing, a distal chamber defined by the outer sidewall of the inner housing, the inner wall of the outer housing and the distal wall of the outer housing, the distal chamber being in fluid communication with the cavity, the distal chamber retaining a disinfectant or antimicrobial agent when the disinfection tip is disposed within an outer wall of the luer connector of the syringe and, at least one jet orifice radially disposed on the inner rim in fluid communication with the distal chamber allowing for fluid to pass from the distal chamber through the jet orifice directing the disinfectant or antimicrobial agent towards a center of the outer housing when the disinfection tip is further inserted into the luer connector of the syringe, the insertion of the disinfection tip causing the volume of the distal chamber to reduce and expel disinfectant or antimicrobial agent through the at least one jet orifice.
