    Abstract: The present disclosure provides generally for a fluid-dispensing device. More specifically, the present disclosure provides for a precision fluid-dispensing device that may deliver a predefined volume of fluid quickly and reliably. In some aspects, the precision fluid-dispensing device may be used to deliver a fluid to a receiving container, such as in a manufacturing line, as a non-limiting example. In some embodiments, the precision fluid-dispensing device may dispense very accurate volumes of fluid using the head pressure of the fluid from an elevated reservoir or pressurized fluid supply. In some implementations, the precision fluid-dispensing device may dispense fluid gently and quickly, which may allow for handling of fluids that may be sensitive to agitation or mixing.

    Abstract: A rotary sub-assembly for pumping of fluid is provided. The sub-assembly includes a hollow body defining a cavity having a longitudinal axis, the body comprising a cavity wall with at least two ports passing therethrough. At least a portion of the cavity has a non-circular cross-section such that a first constant or varying radial distance from the longitudinal axis to inwardly-offset segments of the cavity wall surrounding the two ports is less than a second constant or varying radial distance from the longitudinal axis to second segments of the cavity wall spaced apart from the two ports. A rotatable plunger is housed in the cavity. The plunger is sized and shaped such that a side wall of the plunger can establish a liquid-tight seal against the inwardly-offset segments of the cavity wall, but does not establish a liquid-tight seal with the second segments of the cavity wall spaced apart from the two ports.

    Abstract: An angle adjustment mechanism for a pump and a motor includes a base, an eccentric bushing and a fixed link. The base has a motor flange for mounting a motor, a pump flange opposite the motor flange for mounting a pump, a hinge disposed between the motor flange and the pump flange and a pair of spaced apertures disposed opposite the hinge. The eccentric bushing has a body portion received in one of the apertures of the base and an inner bore with an axial center line offset from an axial center line of the body portion. The fixed link has a first pin portion received in the inner bore of the eccentric bushing and a second pin portion received in the other of the apertures of the base. With this arrangement, rotation of the eccentric bushing changes the distance between the apertures of the base, thereby changing an angle between the motor flange and the pump flange about the hinge.

    Abstract: A fluid discharging system having a pump and a discharging spray head having at least one nozzle through which fluid to be discharged exits is provided. The pump has a stator and a rotor which is attached in a chamber of the stator and can be rotated in relation to the stator about a rotational axis and axially along the axis. The axial displacement of the rotor in a first axial direction is configured such that it brings about pump filling operation. A fluid is drawn via an inlet into the stator chamber, and the axial displacement in an opposite second axial direction is configured such that it brings about discharging operation. The fluid in the chamber is expelled out of an outlet of the pump. The outlet of the pump is arranged in the rotor, and the discharging spray head is fluidically connected to the outlet of the pump.

    Abstract: A beverage system includes a pump that draws a set amount of a flavored concentrate into a mixing chamber through a conduit for mixing with water to form a beverage. A sensor detects when the amount of the flavored concentrate in the conduit is low or the amount of the flavored concentrate in a concentrate container is low or out. The sensor includes two wings each including a recessed surface that together define a circular space. A portion of the conduit is received in the circular space. Each of the wings includes an ultrasonic portion that emits ultrasonic waves that are non-intrusive. When the amount of flavored concentrate in the conduit is low, air bubbles are generated in the flow of the flavored concentrate as it flows along the conduit and/or a vacuum is created in the conduit to draw the conduit away from the recessed surfaces. The ultrasonic waves detect either of these two features, indicating that the amount of the flavored concentrate is low.
