Abstract:
A method includes obtaining a measurement of a property of a light source, scanning light from the light source onto a surface, such that the light interacts with the surface, detecting light from the surface to create a picture element, and correcting the picture element with the measurement of the property. An apparatus includes a scanned beam display, the scanned beam display is configured to receive a signal and to scan the signal for viewing by a user. The signal is to contain picture element information. The picture element information includes information for a plurality of colors, wherein information for at least one color is corrected to substantially remove a perturbation to the picture element information, such that an image containing the picture element information will be substantially unchanged by the perturbation.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatuses, computer program products, devices and systems are described that include accepting three-dimensional blood vessel data; applying a sleeve-fitting algorithm to the three-dimensional blood vessel data; and presenting a sleeve-fitting algorithm output in response to said applying the sleeve-fitting algorithm to the three-dimensional blood vessel data.
Abstract:
A classification method and system for possible content alteration of a media work may include criteria regarding content that is feasible for alteration. Such criteria may be maintained in records that are accessible to an interested party. Some embodiments may include a record of primary authorization rights applicable to a possible content alteration. A further embodiment feature may include a record of secondary authorization rights applicable to substitute altered content incorporated in a derivative version. Various techniques may be used to incorporate substitute altered content in a derivative version of the media work in accordance with applicable substitution guidelines.
Abstract:
Lumen-traveling biological interface devices and associated methods and systems are described. Lumen-traveling biological interface devices capable of traveling within a body lumen may include a propelling mechanism to produce movement of the lumen-traveling device within the lumen, electrodes or other electromagnetic transducers for detecting biological signals and electrodes, coils or other electromagnetic transducers for delivering electromagnetic stimuli to stimulus responsive tissues. Lumen-traveling biological interface devices may also include additional components such as sensors, an active portion, and/or control circuitry.

Abstract:
A photoluminescent light source includes an excitation light source operable to emit light at a primary wavelength and a photoluminescent material optically coupled to the excitation light source. The photoluminescent material has a characteristic to emit light at a secondary wavelength in response to absorbing light at the primary wavelength. Scanned beam systems employing photoluminescent light sources and methods of using the photoluminescent light sources are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A device for image transmission includes a first scanner at a first location and a second scanner at a second location, with an optical fiber linking the scanners. The first scanner scans the first location and couples light from the first location to the optical fiber. The fiber transmits the light to the second location where the second scanner constructs an image of the second location from the light. The two scanners are synchronized so that the constructed image corresponds directly to the scanned scene. The second scanner may be part of a retinal scanner, so that the image is formed directly on the user's retina. In another embodiment, the each of the scanners acts as a transceiver so that imaging is bi-directional.
