摘要: A modular endoscope system comprises a first modular section comprising imaging and illumination units, and a patient-insertable second modular section that can be detached to the first modular section via an attachment mechanism, wherein the first modular section is positionable at a distal end section of the second modular section and is configured to illuminate and image a portion of a patient anatomy. A method of using a modular endoscopy system comprises attaching a first modular section of the modular endoscopy system to a second modular section of the modular endoscopy system, positioning at least a portion of the modular endoscopy system within a patient, illuminating and imaging a portion of a patient anatomy via the first modular section, removing the modular endoscopy system from the patient, and detaching the second modular section from the first modular section after removal of the modular endoscopy system from the patient.

The coupling member (2) and the shaft member (3) are connected to each other such that the shaft member (3) is unlimitedly rotatable by 360° or more about the shaft axis (C) relative to the coupling member (2). Further, the shaft member (3) has a receiver (7) configured to receive energy.

摘要: A trocar is provided that is adapted to insert a lighting attachment into a body cavity. The trocar connects at its distal end to the lighting attachment such that it can be pushed into the body cavity. An endoscope may then be inserted through the trocar into the body cavity. The lighting attachment is configured to detach from the trocar and attach to the endoscope head to provide additional lighting to the endoscope. The lighting attachment includes foldable lighting panels that expand when in use in order to light a wider field of view. The lighting attachment may be powered by induction coil from the endoscope.

摘要: A portable endoscopic inspection system comprises an endoscope having a proximal end with a flanged eyepiece for observation and a distal end with a lens assembly for insertion into a region of interest. A light port transports incident light to the region of interest along an lighting pathway, and reflected light is transported along an imaging pathway from the lens assembly to the eyepiece. A wireless imaging unit comprises a light source which detachably couples to the light port for generating the incident light, and an imaging sensor for recording images of the reflected light from the eyepiece. The wireless imaging unit comprises a variable coupling system which mechanically couples the imaging sensor to the flanged eyepiece independent of the shape and/or size of the flange of the eyepiece.

摘要: Methods and systems identify defects in a medical device and tailor a protocol, namely, further recommended action, for the device based on a combination of the nature of the defects and procedural data including patient data and/or medical instrument record data. Computer-implemented instructions are used to determine the presence and nature of the defects. Artificial intelligence and/or algorithms may be used to implement the computer-implemented instructions, and process image data from a digital camera system. Upon identification of a defect present, the detection system may notify users of the presence of the defect, as well as provide further recommended action to be taken regarding the medical device, reducing potential instrument failure, patient injury or death. The methods and systems may be integrated into existing disinfection and sterilization systems and techniques currently used in medical facilities, such as hospitals and surgery centers.

摘要: A system is described herein. The system includes a smart nasogastric tube and a computing device. A distal end of the smart nasogastric tube is received by an internal area of a patient and includes a tip, a non-heating light source, and a camera. The tip includes a plurality of side holes or slots used for suctioning and an offset diagonal funneled slot proximate the camera used to pass a sponge brush under direct visualization. The camera is configured to capture a high definition and color video of the internal area of the patient and transmit the video to an application of a computing device. The smart nasogastric tube also includes a central tube for suctioning, feeding or lavage with a proximal port. The application of the computing device receives the video from the camera such that a healthcare professional can view the video in real-time. The video may further be transmitted to a third-party via a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) compliant message or live video stream. The smart nasogastric tube may be presented to patients in many points of implementation, such as emergency departments, urgent care centers, a family practitioners officer, or a medical ward.

The capsule device comprises a battery, a secondary coil, and a capsule housing to enclose the battery and the secondary coil in a sealed environment, where the capsule device consists of a first end and a second end in a longitudinal direction of the capsule device, and the battery is located in proximity to the first end and the secondary coil is located in proximity to the second end. The docking device comprises an opening on the docking device, a primary coil to generate an alternating magnetic field, and a primary core. The capsule endoscopic system is arranged so that the primary coil is wrapped around at least a portion of the primary core.
