Abstract:
The present invention is a method for controlling re-direction between heterogeneous mobile communication systems, comprising a step in which a terminal, a connection request of which is rejected from a first communication system (UTRAN), receives, from a second communication system to which the terminal intends to connect, information indicating that the second communication system does not support the terminal; a step of setting information for preventing re-direction to the second communication system; and a step of transmitting, to the first communication system, a request for connection to the first communication system, which includes the information.
Abstract:
A method for performing communication by a first communication device in a mobile communication system is provided. The method includes determining whether the first communication device is proximate to a nearby second communication device through a short-range communication link, enabling one of a first long-range communication link with a network or the short-range communication link with the second communication device based on the determination as to whether the first communication device is proximate to the second communication device, and receiving data from the network through the enabled one of the first long-range communication link with the network or the short-range communication link.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and device for receiving a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) in a mobile communication system. The method for receiving the MBMS of a terminal in the mobile communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention is characterized in that it includes: determining whether service area ID (SAI) information on a serving cell is broadcast during the MBMS; receiving the SAI information on the serving cell when it is determined that the SAI information is broadcast; determining, by using the received SAI information of the serving cell, whether an SAI of the MBMS matches the SAI of the serving cell; and changing the cell reselection priority of the frequency of the serving cell to the highest priority if it is determined that the SAI of the MBMS matches the SAI of the serving cell. According to the present invention, it is possible to efficiently receive MBMS services by enabling a terminal to select a proper frequency or cell when an MBMS service of interest starts.
Abstract:
A system and a method minimize power consumption, signalling overhead, and processing load in blind scheduling in a mobile communication system. A User Equipment (UE) detects a type of an uplink (UL) grant while it is periodically allocated the UL grant. If there is no data to transmit using the UL grant, the UE determines whether to transmit a padding Medium Access Control (MAC) Protocol Data Unit (PDU) to an Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN) Node B (eNB) using the UL grant according to the type of the UL grant.
Abstract:
A method is provided for communication between a UE and a Node B in a communication system. The UE generates a Media Access Control-Protocol Data Unit (MAC-PDU) including a first field related to at least one queue ID and a second field related to at least one amount of data to be transmitted, where the data to be transmitted has its priority. The MAC-PDU including the first and second fields is transmitted to the Node B. Grant information is received from the Node B. Data is transmitted to the Node B based on the grant information and the priority. One amount of data in the second field corresponds to one queue ID in the first field.
Abstract:
A method for configuring configuration information with a user equipment in a mobile communication system is provided. The method includes determining, upon receipt of a Physical Uplink Control Channel/Sounding Reference Signal (PUCCH/SRS) release request from a lower layer, whether configuration information required for a transmission mode supporting Coordinated Multi-Point (CoMP) has been configured, and if the configuration information has been configured, reconfiguring a setting state of the configuration information.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing communication in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes receiving Measurement Gap (MG) configuration information related to the measurement gap, determining a subframe number specifying a starting point of the measurement gap based on the measurement gap configuration information, starting the measurement gap at an end of a subframe immediately before a subframe of the determined subframe number, performing a predetermined measurement operation during the measurement gap, and performing a predetermined operation in a subframe immediately after the measurement gap based on a duplexing mode of a User Equipment (UE) and a type of the subframe immediately before the measurement gap.
Abstract:
A method for performing a random access procedure by a User Equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system includes transmitting a preamble for identifying the UE, through a first message; receiving a second message from an Evolved Node B (ENB) in response to the first message, the second message including uplink (UL) transmission resource information for transmitting at least one of a transparent Radio Resource Control (RRC) message which is an RRC message that a UE having no RRC control connection transmits for the first time, and Buffer Status Report (BSR) information indicating an amount of UL data; setting a format indicator indicating if the transparent RRC message or the BSR information is included in a third message; and generating the third message according to the set format indicator, and transmitting the generated third message according to the UL transmission resource information.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing communication in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes identifying a transmission mode configured for a serving cell by a Base Station (BS), by a User Equipment (UE), identifying an antenna configuration of the BS by the UE, determining the number of bits for a Rank Indication (RI) representing the number of layers based on the transmission mode and the antenna configuration, and generating an RI using the determined number of bits and transmitting the RI in transmission resources of the serving cell to the BS by the.
